The slippery slope all started in Pittsburgh......letting players dictate things is a disaster.
The owners should have an entrenched strategy for this....and one that puts an end to it right now.
It would only take a few teams say 'see you later' and no teams say 'hello'......

It would only take a few teams say 'see you later' and no teams say 'hello'...... A. It didn't start in Pittsburgh.
B. Your owner strategy is called collusion, and it's illegal.
C. Half the league would say WELCOME Russell Wilson !!!! (remember what I told you about teams and QB's. They can't help themselves.)
Other than that, good post. Woodeye is gone, I must fill in.

You are correct, it started with that entire 'protest during the anthem' deal...... It is a strategy for dealing with players trying to force new contracts/trade.....nothing illegal about it. Owners simply need to stick to their agreement, whatever it might be. Owners not being able to resist the temptation will lead to the demise of the NFL. Owners must retain control of the product, once that control is lost to the players, it will all go down the drain. Woodmod can come and go as he chooses.......everyone knows that.

That is a lot of $$$. I hope if Philip decides to keep playing he takes something team friendly, these big deals could cripple any team's salary cap.

Gates put that schedule straight into his shredder. Gates isn't on the team. Rivers is. Tyrod getting work. PR always goes on a spring break trip with his family. That’s the only exception he has ever made in regard to the team given his having 9 children and being away from the family more than a normal Dad, so with spring break being so unusually late this year it overlapped with the kids’ spring break time. I guarantee that missing the first week of voluntary sessions for this reason is not an issue with anybody in the Chargers organization, and as you mentioned whatever little teamwork that is allowed under Phase 1 of OTA’s (per the CBA) will give Tyrod extra work.
