As for me, I'm remembering the years in the past when the Bolts were legitimate contenders but couldn't win the big prize.
It seems everyone is crowning the defense as this years best. But, they are expecting big things from our first and second round picks to make that happen. I recall many years when those first two picks didn't pay off right away. I guess I'm a bit skeptical.
Read the article and let's kick it around.

Replace Tyrell Williams? You have Keenan Allen and Mike Williams forming one of the best receiving tandems in the NFL. But the depth at the position took a hit with Tyrell Williams' departure for Oakland.
That was in the article. Shocking huh. Who would'a thought. Who. I said who.

My personal goal is having the number 1 defense in the NFL. We are loaded, and it doesn't even have to come down to you worrying about the rookies this year. Its not on them as they have help at their positions. Jenkins is there for Adderley, etc. I have a high goal, but we can do it.

Without reading the article, which I will at some point, I would answer the OP's question this way. The Bolts will go as far as the play of their OL goes. If that play, statistically speaking, is top 1/3 each week, they are certainly in the mix with just a few teams from the AFC. Middle third, they are dangerous, but do not get there. Bottom third, they might not get into the PO's.....

I sure think we need him to come through big time because if he doesn't it's the same old DL that failed us last year. Remember the Patriots running free through that DL?

That's certainly a lot better than this past January where it was "None of the Above" playing behind the line. And that’s without mentioning Nwosu, whom we were all glad was there against the Ratbirds of Death in January!!

I believe that Tillery will get his share of snaps in 2019, but he won't be everything that he's capable of being. Having said that, I look for him to get plenty of snaps in passing situations. I also expect that Justin Jones will continue to progress in his second season. It's not a certainty, but there is talent between Bosa and Ingram.

He is a little wild card, that could produce major results. If he takes his big step forward this year, WHEW are we scary good on my defense. We have the luxury of not pushing him or demanding the world out of him. Sorry, but I have one but. BUT, he WAS drafted in the second round. I need a little more out of him. We will forever have the memory of his strip sack of Lamar Jackson in Baltimore to put the final nail in the Ratbirds coffin.
