Yes, if TD's scored were the only criteria. Weak sauce. Certainly scoring points is not what is sought out...... Your guy can lead the league in yards, and my guy will be quite happy leading in points scored. Weal sauce from the fantasy emperor....... I'm assuming that is some Canadian sauce made from a weasel ?

I'm assuming that is some Canadian sauce made from a weasel ? Its perfectly ordinary sauce, just eaten by a weasel.

From this week’s MMQB column by Albert Breer: • I’d tell you that the comments from Melvin Gordon and Melvin Ingram on the Chargers’ aspirations—Gordon called the Bolts “the team to beat,” and Ingram said that they’re “definitely going to win the Super Bowl”—didn’t go over well within the building in Orange County. It was pointed out to me that those two guys were the most notably absences from the team’s offseason program. www.si.com/nfl/2019/06/17/josh-mccown-retirement-todd-gurley-knee-michael-smith-saints-patriots-texans

Simple question: Is anyone worried that either of those players will show up for TC2019 unprepared? The quotes attributed to each player are not unusual either. Yes, most club executives/coaches would prefer players to not make such statements, but what was said is not really a bad comment. Imagine if a player was quoted as saying 'we won't win as much as last season, as we got lucky and won't be so lucky again'......or some such drivel. I say be glad they have such strong belief in this next season.

They’ll be ready to play and it’s not a big deal, but you don’t hear many other players from teams that are expected to contend making such pronouncements, let alone two who elected to stay out of voluntary workouts and just showed up to participate with the guys who have been there for the past couple of months. What I expect (more importantly, what AL almost certainly expects) is for them to be boring and low key it. When Breer reports that it didn’t go well at the complex in Costa Mesa, that’s a translation for it didn’t go over well with Lynn, and he certainly let the two Mels know what he thought. Immediately thereafter, it’s water under the bridge.

Breer is media, and media is scrapping for anything reasonable to write about at this dead point of the off season.

Like I said, water under the bridge immediately after Lynn offered his .02 cents advice. And the only reason I posted it is because it’s that time of the year. ;-)

Possession receivers that move the chains are an essential component. A few catches for a lot of yards can win a few games. It's ideal to have both but taking one or the other, I'll take consistent 1st downs. With KA, MW, HH & the RBs deservedly drawing most of the attention we can find someone to catch the odd long ball.

KA and HH should be devastating on those short passes that move the chains. Defences that get too aggressive on covering those two will get burned on intermediate routs by MW, or out of the backfield by the RB's......and then there is always TB going deep that will need to be attended to. If the OL gives Rivers decent time, this passing attack will be tough to defend.
