It is not that I think they are 'bad', I just see reserve level talent. Can you get by a game or two, with only one playing starter, certainly. Going into a season with both OT positions manned by reserve talent is going to be really challenging. I stopped reading when you said Lamp was out of the NFL forever. So about 2 years now. Lamp was moving people around last night. I was keyed on him. A couple of mistakes but an all around solid effort.

A couple of mistakes but an all around solid effort. I'm no expert but I, too, tried to watch Lamp last night. I agree that he looked good in run blocking and definitely pushed people back. I was less astute in pass blocking where there may have been some pressure from his man (or at least from his side) at times. It was also interesting that he played pretty much the whole game!

He probably needed that much work after a 2 year lay off. He does look like he will be an upgrade.

I would think he would have to be on blood thinners, possibly for life with a high chance of a brain hemmorhage if he keeps playing football.

The report was that he needed to be on blood thinning medication for a minimum of three months, so they'll have an updated evaluation at the end of this month.

hopefully. the big question is what would cause multiple clots in his lungs. not likely atrial fibrillation because he would definitely need to continue blood thinners. factor five? same problem.

I'm generally a ball watcher but I did follow Lamp a bit last night because he has been the hot topic on this and previous forums for almost 2 years. I will say this, the guy does not seem to get pushed backwards. he is stout at the point of attack.

Oh sweet day of the morning !! Even if we think Scott can be average, teams are coming straight for him at this point, mark my words. Gotta get him help over there. Virgil Green. Pretend to have a blocking RB. Something.

Better design a lot of quick release plays or we may see PR injured before long. Get rid of the ball quickly Phillip, the life you save may be your own.

Maybe we should just cancel the season, given how awful we are. Someone needs to send Vegas the memo. Those idiots have the tackle-less Chargers as 7 point favorites to open against

I would assume that the only team in the league without a single NFL caliber tackle on the roster would be an underdog every single week.
We didn’t have any NFL caliber guards all off season as well. Did that change, or is the tackle situation so dire that we don’t even need to worry about the ineptness of the guards? If my math is correct that leaves only one NFL caliber O-Lineman on the entire team, in Pouncey. Crap, I guess that means 0-16.
