Cardale was pretty much a hot mess in PSG1, let's not crown him yet. I don't think there's any reason to hate him. He's probably a good enough guy. Personally, I just hate the idea of burning a valuable roster spot on him. Hated it in 2017, will hate it in 2019 if it happens. Further, I hate the idea of burning a roster spot for any qb3. I also hate the idea of flushing a 5th round pick down the toilet. So it's pretty much hate-hate proposition for me this year. Benjamin running the Wildcat might agree with you.

I don't think any of us 'hate' Jones on any personal level, and to imply differently is disingenuous to say the least. For me it is all about projecting results looking forward. I have never felt Jones was worth the roster spot, as I do not feel his talent justified it. The interesting part of your post for me was the apparent disconnect between TT and AL over this. Clearly Rivers is #1, and just as clear is Taylor at #2. So the #3 QB is probably never seeing the field. If AL wants to continue the Jones experiment, then why waste a 5th rd pick on a QB? I think the decision on Jones was made the moment TT drafted a QB, barring that QB failing completely, which Stick has not done. If they keep Jones, and release Stick (or lose him on waivers), one must wonder about the club all being on the same page.

Won’t watch much tonight as I have to work tomorrow.
However, the game started off with a bang: Pope pops a 40+ yard run with a great block out in space by Pipkins!

Jones to Scott on a back shoulder pass for 25 yards. Excellent catch!!

Culkin can’t bring it down in the end zone on an excellent pass from Jones in tight space.
Jones is looking solid again. He should find a job somewhere if they choose to keep their 5th rounder over him.

Pipkins lunges, loses his balance and allows his man to get big time heat in the pocket.

Jones misses high on a wide open Culkin who would have walked into the end zone.

Newsome with a punishing 14 yard run to the one (Culkin with the lead block), follows it up with a second effort TD run, and finishes it off with a handspring into a back flip celebration in the end zone!!

Adderley with an interception. Nice.
Adarius Pickett UDFA from UCLA Safety had a INT last night. Did you know he led the COUNTRY in college last year for tackles by a DB ?? Crazy.
. Led the team with 123 tackles [15th on the school single-season list], including 77 unassisted stops ... Registered game-high tackle honors in nine contests ... Became the first Bruin defensive back since Dennis Keyes in 2007 to record a 100-tackle season ... Produced six double-digit tackle efforts during the season (15-Cincinnati, 12-Oklahoma, 13-Fresno State, 16-Washington, 11-Oregon, 12-Arizona State) ... Established a new career-high with his 16 stops versus Washington

Although all I have done is read about the second half, but Stick’s performance may have been enough to allow him to sneak through to the practice squad.
