Going with the cheaper and younger option:
Chargers Release Long Snapper Mike Windt By Chargers Communications Posted Tue, Aug 20, 2019
The Los Angeles Chargers parted ways with veteran long snapper Mike Windt, the organization announced on Tuesday. The nine-year pro appeared in all 100 (regular and postseason) games played over the last six seasons.
"While long snapper is often an overlooked position, Mike's dependability and consistent performance was always heavily valued by coaches and teammates alike," said General Manager Tom Telesco. "On behalf of everyone in our organization, I want to thank Mike for all the contributions he made, both on and off the field, during his nine-year career with the Chargers."
Windt was a mainstay on special teams for the Bolts since signing as a free agent in October of 2010. The Cincinnati, Ohio native played in all 16 regular season games in seven of his nine career seasons, including the last six years.
Windt was part of a unit that featured Chargers career punting yardage record-holder Mike Scifres, single-season field goals made record-holder Nick Novak and snapped for the record-breaking season of Michael Badgley in 2018.
For the NFL's My Cause, My Cleats initiative last season, Windt donned cleats to raise awareness for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. Alex's Lemonade Stand changes the lives of children with cancer by funding impactful research, supporting families and empowering everyone to find a cure for childhood cancer.

Well yeah. Gordon's got to eat. Look how many team meals he has missed out on. The team owes him for that.

Clearing money up for Gordon. James out. Need more Billboard players. Soon. First !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As I stated a few weeks ago, the savings won’t be going to MGIII. Many many more mouths to feed, only so much cap space. King’s contract expires after 2020 as well, and unless it’s going to be an oline churn Lamp’s expires as well.

That's all I wanted to dig out. Thanks for playing.

The offer is on the table. It's up to MGIII to sign it (with slight modifications to assuage Baggins' proclamation of a "Win"). The money beyond $10 million is earmarked for others. Tick tock, Melvin. Sign it.

Who takes over that position? His spot on the team was just filled by Dontrelle Inman reuniting with the Chargers.... but he's a WR so he won't be replacing Windt as a long snapper.

Who takes over that position? Rookie Cole Mazza, a small school sammy from a program in Alabama few people have heard of.
