Looks like GSW does need Durant I have a wild hunch he's playing game 2. He flew out there for a reason. It was a no brainer to fly him out there, to keep the Raptors wondering which team they had to gameplan for, as opposed to automatically ruling him out for the first two games. They kept him in the locker room area as well, probably so nobody saw him limp around, and could draw any conclusions. He hasn’t even been medically cleared to start on court activities yet (no practice, no shooting drills, etc.). You may very well be the only person in the World who thinks he is playing in Game 2. I’d be somewhat surprised if he plays at all during this series. It would be foolish for the Warriors to suggest that though, so I fully expect they will continue to act as if it’s a possibility.

In their 4 previous finals appearances the warriors were 4-0 in game 1.
I don’t know what Durant is dealing with but I am pretty sure that Kobe would have been back on the court in a week with the same injury. Durant doesn’t even have calf muscles.
The warriors looked a little lost out there. Gasol has so much time to line up some of his shots that I think he was even surprised

Gasol has so much time to line up some of his shots that I think he was even surprised I think with Durant we may also be seeing a guy who is more concerned about his upcoming FA, than winning with his current team. On the flip side, what does it say about Kawhi, who has been playing hobbled for several games ? Probably not something you’d see from someone who plans to jet to a new team in a few weeks. I’d be really surprised if Durant plays in this series, and even if he does, he won’t be 100% and will have to go up against Kawhi. I highly doubt he goes out there and lights it up. I could see them winning the first game he plays though, because of the Raptors not having a proper gameplan for him. After that though, I think they could adjust as deemed needed, and get back on track. Durant aside, the Warriors biggest issue could be Iguadala. If he’s hobbled or absent, that’s a huge hit to the Warriors. The splash brothers combined for 55 points last night, not too far off from the best you can expect.. Nobody else (besides Durant) on that roster is capable of an offensive explosion. On the other hand, Kawhi can play much better than he did last night, as can Lowry. I just heard a surprising stat...71% of the time, the team that wins Game 1 of the Finals, wins the series.

Home teams are supposed to win, so I am lost to the fake hype.

One is trying to get one listed on there.
Leonard is gone.

You never learn Freak...and I’m so thankful for that. It makes it sooooo easy to throw things back in your face when you are wrong.
PS - Kawhi is not chasing his first Championship. He’s already been Finals MVP too, so if he wins the Championship and MVP this year, he is tied with the guy who has a “slew of them on his resume”.

Speaking of stats..... "The Lowry-Green-Leonard-Siakam-Gasol lineup played only 161 regular-season minutes, although it was highly effective when it did play, outscoring opponents by 12.2 points per 100 possessions. That group has now played 314 minutes together in the playoffs, and — somewhat remarkably given that the Raptors have been playing extremely tough competition in the Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers — it’s still outscoring opponents by 12.1 points per 100 possessions." fivethirtyeight.com/features/are-the-raptors-really-favorites-against-the-warriors/

That makes Leonard double gone in the offseason. Wave bye bye to Leonard. He wants spotlight, please don't block him from the light. Please.

Kawhi was stung by Popovich not thinking of him as a leader. He's proved that's false. Toronto gave him a great platform to show that he can put a team on his back and take them where they've never been before. Case closed. Top 2 or 3 in the league for sure. Remember kids, I said that back in the beginning of these playoffs.

Makes sense... he can then take that impressive resume into free agency, where the maximum he can get offered by any team is $50 million less than the Raptors can offer. He also needs to sharpen up his resume in order to get those maximum offers as well, nobody is gonna offer him a max deal based on what he’s already done. Yeah, he just LOVES being in the spotlight as well, totally meshes with his character. Given how much you know what you are talking about, I would never be able to guess that you are not an NBA follower, and just here to troll. Keep digging that hole for yourself deeper. I look forward to burying you alive in it very soon...
