If this team takes a WR in the 1st round the forum will explode. The last thing we need to spend our #6 on is a WR. And when this team is suddenly blowing teams out at the beginning of next season with a rejuvenated Rivers throwing to his #6 pick WR Jerry Jeudy, The Slayer, MWil, HH and Ekeler this forum will be calling TT a genius AND Freak will be patting himself on the back saying, "Didn't I tell you all we should draft Jeudy". See the future my friend, see the future...

I like 11-5.
We have work to do.
9 losses by one score. At least we are close.
Did I see we set a franchise record for getting the least amount of turnovers ? that has to change.
This is an important fact that should not be overlooked. Win half of those games and we are being talked about as one the teams no one wants to face in the playoffs. Our D is already very good. Kept us in just about every game. Keep Gus or grab Wade before he's snatched up. Rivers is still good and whether folks want to admit it or not, he will be better than any rookie we draft at least for the next season or two. I agree Freak, we are close to being a very good football team. 1. Resign Rivers, then lock up Bosa and avoid holdout drama. 2. Offer competitive contracts to Hunter Henry and yes, Gordon. 3. Be aggressive in FA, specifically with the trenches. 4. Draft "BEST PLAYER" on the Board at #6. Address need with #38 or perhaps trade back into the end of the 1st round if TUA falls. 5. STOP TURNING THE BALL OVER. Its a little bit heavy on the all in on Rivers, but otherwise a great post. Great take.

I agree but I believe this draft has several WR's that would be a help to our passing game so we could get a good one in the third round. You can get Dylan Cantrell in the 3rd, or Julio Jones in the first.
The choice is yours.
Same old story - you kids never fail to decide some skill position dude is better than any OL guy ever could be. Then when you get that guy, you spend the entire year gripping about the bad OL and start screaming for a new GM.
Kids now a days!
Joking aside - every draft is different. This draft is loaded with good WR's. A few are outstanding and will go in the first round but there will still be others that are quite good. We may even find one undrafted that's very good (M80 and TWill come to mind) In fact, Cantrell may be very good if he could ever get healthy.
Another point, what will we get from the FA period? Maybe a great OT/WR/CB/who knows? If they can get a good OT from the FA's, I'd be all for going after BPA and that could turn out to be a WR. Many in hear think we should use that pick for QB, not me, bring back PR and tab Thomas in the draft.

What makes it not ordinary is that you are actually younger than Rivers in QB Dog years. We are just admiring players in the draft. Nothing wrong with that. JJ at Alabama ain't playing as a draft prospect. I called him JJ just to get your attention by the way. They didn't flip a coin and say "Ok. JJ is a nice athlete so we are going to call him a top 6 draft pick." That's not how this works. Your own words are a ringing endorsement for JJ. "This draft is loaded with good WR's." AND HE IS STILL SLOTTED IN THE TOP 6 ?!?!?!?! That's crazy. Next, QB, Tackles, and Edge rushers are the premium picks. AND HE STILL is slated for the top 6 !! No, he's special, and he deserves every evaluation we want to give him too.

We need scoring to improve on our 0-6 AFCW record.

You cannot score if you do not have holes to run through or enough time to throw. This team needs a enema. An OL would be a great place to start

Freak said it earlier, but I agree that Jeudy is worth a consideration at #6. Our D can hold teams under 20 and our O could truly score 21+. Recipe for a winning season.

I wonder if either of them are as great as Patton though? You're right Dielman was a UDFA, he also was a DT that they switched to OT. We never know where our help will come from.
Where is your mock draft?

Many in hear think we should use that pick for QB, not me, bring back PR and tab Thomas in the draft. I guess free agency could affect this (and I really hope we sign at least one FAOL- ie Conklin), but I would make our #6 overall pick one of three O-linemen: Andrew Thomas, Jedrick Wills Jr. or Tristan Wirfs. I would not take ANY quarterback or receiver- sure they're some potentially great ones likely to be had at #6 but hard pass. Because unless the offensive line is upgraded no skill player will improve this team next year. No one.
