Of the OL players on roster, other than Okung, what injuries are there? Rivers sacked four times, that has to be a huge concern. It depends on how those sacks are occurring and if there are signs of improvement. Scott had a particular bad game and a series in particular. But played better down the stretch especially in the 4th quarter and OT. Right now we seem to be carrying over the better run blocking but worse pass protection issue from last year. There's probably a way to utilize the run blocking to protect Rivers even more.

Our freaking Franchise QB has no idea what is coming behind him when someone about 6'4 and 290 pounds is sprinting at him, violently tomahawk chopping his throwing arm, and caving into his back !!!! Occurrence ?? It looks like a crime scene ! Indy was tied for 19th in sacks last year. We have 8 games left against teams that were in the top 11. (Lots of ties on the list) We have 3 games left against the top 2 sack teams. The number 1 team- their city is literally nicknamed Blitzburgh ! Holy hell and fish on Friday's !! Let's let that sink in for a minute.

That is the problem. The Bolts have two 'starter' level guys in Pouncy and Okung, the rest are reserve level talent. Will any of them develop into something more? Pipkins is my only hope in that regard. Protecting Rivers is important, but Rivers is the biggest key in that endeavor, and he is quite smart about surviving. Play calling will help Rivers, but nothing like a successful run game will, as you mention.

Feeney looked much better in the 1st game compared to last year's stretch. Tevi also did much better. Guys like Jason Peters, David Andrews, and our own Dielman started as UDFA before developing into pro bowlers. It's all about coaching and mental makeup, and then physical talent. I liked that Scott worked with Okung after the bad series and played Lights Out afterwards. The question then becomes does it continue to improve and be consistent?

Looks like no MDub tomorrow. I pray that Lynn is just being extra cautious. I know Lynn is huge on Mike Williams, so I get spooked when Lynn gets spooked.
