One of the biggest buzzes at the Combine is that the Cardinals are in love with Kyler Murray. They have a new head coach (Kliff Kingsbury) -- so Josh Rosen was not "his guy" to start with. And their GM, when asked directly if Rosen was their QB, said that Josh Rosen is indeed the Cardinals' Quarterback, but infamously added "right now." And today Murray let slip that the Cardinals are interviewing him. But he went even farther, stating that he'd be a good fit in a Kingsbury "Air Raid" system. Lastly, Kingsbury tried recruiting Murray out of high school. As this article states, it sure looks like a legitimate "love affair" between Murray and the Cards. www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/nfl-draft-2019-cardinals-kyler-murray-cant-hide-draft-love-for-each-other-at-nfl-combine/15x9adm8ynb1d1ahg4pucsq214But if the Cards do indeed go that route, they will undoubtedly trade their 1st round pick from last year, QB Josh Rosen. And of the five or six teams whose names are coming up, one is, indeed, our beloved Chargers, who no doubt HAVE TO start planning for a future post-Rivers. Me? I've always been kind of down on Rosen. His Elite 11 class left all the NFL coaches and veterans distinctly unimpressed with his attitude. On the other hand, his freshman year at UCLA was UNREAL. Further, his difficulties last year with Arizona can't be laid at his feet. They went through O-Linemen, AND offensive coaches, like nobody's business. What do you think?

If the Bolt staff sees some upside with Rosen, plus sitting behind PR for 2 years to become fully groomed, I'd cough up next year's 4th rounder for him...

Anthony Lynn still likes Cardale Jones - "Cardale’s doing all the things he needs to be doing to be an NFL starting quarterback. He has a tremendous skillset. And finally his life has some stability. For the first time in his life, he’s been in the same system in back to back years. So, we’re expecting Cardale to take that next step this year, and we’ll see if he can be the quarterback of the future. We’re going to find out."

Eeeeeeesh . . . . .. If he's going to place our back-up plans in the hands of Cardale Jones, well, I sure as heck hope he knows what he's doing . . . .

topcat is happy reading this. No, actually Pac, I was hoping for Shimmy...now, regarding Mr. Jones...uh, there was a time quite a while back where, in a moment of weakness, and after witnessing Rivers forcing the rock into coverage for multiple picks and losing us games, I did consider giving Cardale a shot...at least for a game or so...I now realize it was unwise at the time...but interesting comments by Lynn...maybe he sees some upside in Jones that we don't...

And it is the kind of thinking that can keep a franchise in the doldrums . . . . . . You say we need to improve OL all day long. And then you say that we shouldn't get a new QB, because he may need an OL in front of him? I really hope you're just being facetious

For the record, no I am not interested in Rosen, unless there is no cost beyond his contract. Trade an asset....not a chance.

They seriously need to tell Lynn "As far as we are concerned, you were the coach of the year ! And another thing, you will have nothing to do with QB selection here. Thanks. Here, have a doughnut." ............Cardale Freakin Jones. Sheesh o man already.

Freak keeps it real. Geno Smith and Jones suck, and suck hard. Just the way Rivers loves it. He will be your Iron man. Start every single game forever. The trade off has always been that he does not like competition breathing down his neck. I will educate all with fascinating takes that make you think it all though. I make it easy, because I already have. You only get this kind of insight at one place.

Fans have got to stop asking questions about a player not good enough to beat out Geno Smith. Good grief. Eye am woodMod.
