Saw this too. Now Telesco can get an OT with that valuable 2nd round pick. Worry about a QB when Rivers is closer to the end.

Hell, offer them a 2nd and a 4th that we throw away every year anyway ! The Bolts already have a backup for 2019 and 2020, so they aren't going to take the cap hit for releasing Tyrod right after signing him or carry a needless 3rd QB on the roster for the 2019 season. Once they signed Taylor, the die was set IMO. All the other noise was equivalent to the "PR wants to go to Tennessee so he'll be close to home in Alabama" & "PR won't play in LA" noise we heard a few years back. Miami would probably be a good spot for Rosen where he can sit and learn from Fitzpatrick in 2019 while recovering physically and mentally from the battering he absorbed in 2018.

The future of this Franchise is not currently on our roster. That's just a fact. If TT and I can get a 10th overall QB on the cheap, we're gonna do it. (Please check multiple multiple sources that display we have made offers)
You would have gotten further with me if you said offering Rivers a contract extension means he is staying longer than a goalie wants to believe. (Goalie had him gone by 2019)

Oh, PR will be signing an extension. That much is a given. Barring an unforeseen catastrophic injury (knocking on the wood that is my skull), I expect him to play through 2021. They aren’t going to trade immediate support for a ring opportunity for a guy who won’t take over in 2022 (if at all). At least not yet, and that’s why they signed Taylor. I expect them to look seriously for a replacement starting next offseason depending on how it goes in 2019.

I wasn't a huge Rosen supporter, but if I'd known we'd pay good money to Tyrod Taylor, AND waste a 5th rounder on an unknown QB from Tibet Agriculture and Mining, then I sure as hell would have preferred to grab Rosen as at least a POTENTIAL heir to the throne.
TT screwed this one up, IMO

Because the Tibetans don't mine the land: it's against their religious practices to disturb the ground. Just a great line.

Take this with whatever grain of salt you choose, but Walter Football claims that Josh Rosen is a partier with no passion for football and basically considers him an almost Ryan Leaf level bust.

I get the thread initially, but Rosen has since been traded to a team other than the Bolts, so why do people care at this point.

I saw him play on several occasions with the national championship St. John Bosco teams as they were in the same league as Servite (my son’s high school).
