Our 3rd stringers vs. their 3rd stringers = Chargers 2 Steelers 0 In 2008, Pitt beat us 11-10.
The first such score in 12,837 NFL games

The bad news: Pouncey is now on friggin' IR.
The good news: Lamp will be starting now. (Had to unfortunately take something like this to happen.)
I guess Feeney taking snaps at C was more than just precautionary afterall.

The Los Angeles Chargers signed C/G Ryan Groy, the organization announced on Wednesday. In a corresponding move, C Mike Pouncey was placed on injured reserve.

Groy joins the Chargers after playing the last four seasons with the Buffalo Bills. He most recently spent the offseason with the New Orleans Saints. Groy has played in 55 career games, making 17 starts, primarily at center. The 6-5 Wisconsin product was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Chicago Bears in 2014. Groy played in 16 games in 2016 and 2017 and appeared in 15 contests in 2018, all for the Bills.

I guess Feeney taking snaps at C was more than just precautionary afterall. This may be the worst season yet for injuries.

I guess Feeney taking snaps at C was more than just precautionary afterall. Lamp could not supplant Feeney......not too sure this Lamp starting means an upgrade has occurred.

I don’t think I can remember injuries to so many key guys in one season. Our defense was mostly dependant on Derwin James ability to roam. He goes down. AP was a key cog in Gus’ d. He goes down. Ingram, the bookend to Joey. He goes down. OL needing the 2 veterans at LT and C. Both gone. No receiving TE besides HH. He goes down. Tyrell goes via FA. MW our for a game, Inman gone for the season and now Patton with a quad. How many quad, groin and hamstring injuries have we had. These are training injuries. Not broken bones, ligaments or fractures. Muscle pills. It’s ludicrous
