This may be the worst season yet for injuries. Yep......The Lombardi seems safe from any soccer field trophy case. There still is 11 games to play. It may not be safe after all

Our 3rd stringers vs. their 3rd stringers = Chargers 2 Steelers 0 In 2008, Pitt beat us 11-10.
The first such score in 12,837 NFL games
I was at that game....it was a strange one indeed. Neither team could seem to score.

Chargeroo, we’ve been around a long time. I don’t think I can remember injuries to so many key guys in one season. Our defense was mostly dependant on Derwin James ability to roam. He goes down. AP was a key cog in Gus’ d. He goes down. Ingram, the bookend to Joey. He goes down. OL needing the 2 veterans at LT and C. Both gone. No receiving TE besides HH. He goes down. Tyrell goes via FA. MW our for a game, Inman gone for the season and now Patton with a quad. How many quad, groin and hamstring injuries have we had. These are training injuries. Not broken bones, ligaments or fractures. Muscle pills. It’s ludicrous You would have really lost it if you saw Lynn: "The injuries came in bunches, but I think they are going to slow down now." I can't imagine why he thinks that but I'm hoping he's right..Back when Gilman was the HC, we had two years in a row when the same five guys played ever single game in the OL. It seems hard to believe today. I wonder if the training then was better than it is today?

These knee injuries we see all the time.........Bigger, faster athletes nowadays. I think the knees are one weak spot in the body. These guys know how to get massive, but they cannot strengthen the knee tendons. Be bigger and faster, but there are weak spots.
Just guesswork out loud.

Looks like Mason Rudolph is back poracticing. Steelers may hold him out figuring their 3rd stringer is good enough to beat us

I don't know if I posted it on this board or was just talking to myself but there are things like broken bones and snapped tendons that can't be prevented and there are the injuries like quads, hamstrings and groins that seem to be a failure of stretching and conditioning. We have a ton of those sodft tissue injuries that make me think we are not doing things right somewhere along the way.

There is more to that story.
Okung is not soft tissue issue James not Pouncey not Henry not etc
“In years past, we’ve been at our best when it’s been that way. When it’s kinda like ‘Same old deal. Chargers are hurt. They’re injured and they’re gonna mess it up somehow.’ We’ve been better when it’s been that way,” Rivers said, per Orange County Register’s Gilbert Manzano.

Pretty sad that we have long yes and no list to begin with. What was Inman's injury ??
Did you see we released Trevor Williams and the cardinals signed him off waivers ?!?

Where is Perryman. Shouldn't he be on one of the lists
