What did you guys think of Lynn going for it on 4th and Goal, and then Gordon scoring the Touchdown ? Loved it emotionally. Hated it rationally. When the fg extended the lead to 19, should not have taken the fg off the board. I completely agree. Although this was a direct response to the ending of the Titans game. Lynn was taking a risk to set a new tone for this season....not nearly as risky as the 2-point conversion in Arrowhead last year but it sends the same message to his players.

I wouldn't pick on average fans, but because you are smart enough : Should he wait until week 9 to set a tone ?
Never should have had 5 losses in 7 games. And it irks me to my core.

Felt the same initially, but now I sense that it served a long-term purpose: AL showed the players that he has faith in the running game. I would imagine its hard to preach run run run, and then not put the run on the line. It was a low risk move IMO. Normally you do not take points off the board. But they had a 16 point lead still if they failed and the Pack just did not have it yesterday. Sure Lynn would have been critized, but the message would still have been sent. The Bolts only have themselves since there are very few fans of theirs at each game. This builds on that.

two fg's made or a TD instead of a fumble and the Bolts record is on the plus side. Perhaps sooner would have been. Not sure with all the injuries he didn't try, and failed.

Can't have enough Iron Fist at this point.

What did you guys think of Lynn going for it on 4th and Goal, and then Gordon scoring the Touchdown ? That's a great discussion starting question, Freak. I did NOT want to take points off the board! I immediately understood that even if we failed on fourth and goal that we had a decent lead, the defense was playing great and the Packers would be starting from their one-inch line, but even with all these arguments in favor of risking it, I felt you shouldn't take points off the board- kick off with a three-score lead and let the defense continue its dominance. After the TD was successful, I breathed a sigh of relief and thought that was a great call! (And I give Rivers a ton of credit for lobbying for it, not just Lynn for making it.) Lastly, the motivation and inspiration that players must get when a coach believes in them and lets them take a risk and is rewarded for it, is more than just in that moment. I believe it lasts a LONG time afterwards. And I hope we see just that on Thursday night!

Not that the calls were wildly reckless, with a ton of deep shots taken, but rather just more unconventional in their timing. Enjoying solid 'down and distance' on most plays really freed up the ability to call pretty much any play he felt good about. Having success clearly led to motivated players.....

Best of both worlds. I sold 2 of my tickets for $500 each. Shocking. Were they Packers fans that bought them ? Nobody is judging here, its great that you can make money back and still attend the game. Just curious. Yes. Nice packers fans. A young couple and the girl’s boss bought them the tix. You think any Charger fan is gonna pony up $500/ticket?

I saw better execution versus any such "unpredictable" play calling.
Small things, like..............blockers ACTUALLY blocking.
GB looked really flat on their second road game too.

Happily. Thinking of doing the same for Vikes and Raiders. I’ll have to cut my kids out. Iron fist time. Grow up kiddies. Don’t blame me. Blame Spanos

I am sure the flat Green Bay effort played a big part. It will be interesting to see what shows this Thursday night.
