Sounds like the GM's first job to me. Lol I already looked it up and had the same thought. Or maybe Spanos just gave him a week’s vacation up front as part of an attractive hiring package so he could stealth hire MM real quick like. Sneaky Spanos. I guess you don’t understand the mechanizations of high level executives in high performance high expectations organizations. No NFL team would hire a first time GM from outside the organization and expect him to interview, vet, and hire an NFL in under a week. I’ll guarantee you that there was an on boarding process with Telesco that probably took a few days. Most corporations do them even with new leaders much lower on the org chart. Relocation from Indy to San Diego would have been a top time consuming priority as well. Lastly, no GM would ever be comfortable hiring a new HC without properly evaluating his team and staff. Its absurd to thing that Telesco had any substantial role in the hiring of McCoy.

He produced with Tim Tebow. That made him a football GAWD in the eyes of some. I guess it didn’t matter that he was softer than Charmin. ... Drill sergeant's hat, whistles, night stick, all the stops. Let's keep the perverse fantasies to ourselves, k?

AJ fired Marty. He pulled the strings on the puppet Nope. Deano was dad with two petulant children that refused to coexist. He was forced to choose and he picked AJ. he was forced by the puppet master.

Yet neither of you have any experience within the Chargers organization itself which is important because the division of power is different everywhere. Additionally, right or wrong I’m not inclined to give any credence to half-baked and condescending elitist trash posts with moving goal posts. So high-powered-executive-in-charge of-high-powered-snobbery SDC can do better if he wants a genuine response from me.

TT hired Milquetoast in a hurry, out of fear that someone else would steal this prized leader of men. Like TT & AL, TT and MM got along swimmingly immediately. "Gimme the keys to the Spanos jet!" TT said to Deano. MilqueMan needed to fly home right away, to get permission from the wife, before it was too late. That is today's moment in Charger history...

Case closed. Fire Mrs. Milqueman.

Had to be sdc because for french fry you would have wrote hockey nets instead of goal posts.

I still wish we would have hired Bruce Arians... While I understand the underlying reasons for this deabte, does it really matter WHO hired Mike McCoy? No matter who is in charge of this organization poor decisions will be made. We all know the only thing that will change that is new ownership and I don't think any of us would disagree with that.
