My expectations are as low as they can be for someone we drafted in the second round. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt, but he has a lot to prove. He will need to play--emphasis on "play"--like a third-year pro with glimpses of a player who will be in the league for a while. Did I mention that he needs to "play"? If he doesn't, or his quality of play is not that of a third-year pro, he's a bust. One more year. There are huge differences in the argumentation on this subject. pacstud/frozendisc. Experienced in the fields of personnel, coaching, claim that they can tell Lamp is a bust. It is self-evident they say, based upon their previous experiences. Others are willing to wait and see. In my case, it is based upon studying meticulously Lamp's movements in the limited snaps he received in the 2018 regular season, and comparing that to his college tape. Do you trust the intuition of the mystics, or do you listen to wood, with his famous scout's eye ? I do not claim Lamp is a bust. I do think all the indications are there, and as such I believe he is a bust, due to injury.

If you were to ask me that question two months ago, I would have said no. Now I would say that he is a bust. The fact that he hasn't accomplished anything in 2019 is very alarming. How about one month ago ?

Lamp wants to play. Lamp is pissed he didn't get any run last season. This is his last chance with the Chargers. I'm an optimist despite all objective signs pointing to bust.

In this context, it must be stated that Lamp is a bust, with anger in the voice, OR take the sensible, Zen approach, that Forrest's time is gonna come.

How about one month ago ? A month ago I was still pretty high on him. But then he did nothing in February. So now he is a bust.

So far, 6 "no" votes and ZERO "yes" votes--so looks like NOBODY thinks Lamp is a bust...looks like nobody wants to go on record calling him a bust until after TC, preseason and at least a few regular season games...which is what I've been saying from the get-go--give the guy a chance... Your poll is a bit scripted to garner a certain outcome. Should the Bolts release Lamp today ? Nope. Should Lamp be penciled in as a starter today ? Nope. Should Lamp be penciled in as a definite reserve player today ? Nope. Should the Bolts wait and see how Lamp does in TC 2019 before making any decisions ? Yes. The poll I just wrote above does the exact same thing. It is the problem with most polls. I think Lamp is a bust pick due to injury, and have had that position for a good while. What I think has zero bearing on this. The Bolts have no reason to release Lamp, and every reason to give him another TC. If I added the following question to my fake poll from above, do you think there would be a splitting of the vote ? * Should Lamp be considered a bust pick if he is only a reserve player his entire career ? The poll is scripted? Whaaaaaatttt? It's a "yes" or "no" answer. Doesn't get more simple than that!!! Vous avez insulté mon honneur! En garde!!!

Option C: Lamp is not officially a bust but is doing well to look the part. I'd love to love Lamp.

Lamp and all that goes with his situation is far from simple, which is why your poll doesn't really work well. You honor is intact, I have told your wife no.
