I shockingly agree with this. I still say Rivers went gunslinger crazy. Lynn told him to stop, and Rivers told him no. At Rivers own press conf. he stated "I don't care if I have 4 INT's in the game, I'm still going to throw it up." I further believe they contacted him with "Do you promise to stop going gunslinger time and listen to your coach ?" His answer was no, and that was the end of that. I know my theory is a little crazy. But I patch worked pieces of info. in order to get there. I actually agree with you 100%. There was something off about this team. It was built to operate like the Niners. Stout defense ball control offense. I believe Philip went off script. I think he wanted to play his style of offense. Whisenhunt might have been collateral damage. There was something askew about this team and a philosophical disagreement between the organization and their HoF QB is the only thing that makes sense. That was cemented when Lynn was extended and Rivers packed up and moved ten minutes after the season was over. I think TT and Lynn still believe they have a team that can win with a competent QB who knows he doesn’t have to put the team on his back to win. One other telling note was that before this season Rivers always took the blame for losses even when he was the best player on the field. This season, even after some of the worst games of his career his attitude was more “I’m going to do what I’m going to do”. reports are that Lynn was only extended for 1 year.

I get this feeling that the entire 'walk away from Rivers' is all about control. Clearly ownership, and FO, took the HC side, which is the expected decision. The ramifications are obvious, as QB hell is here currently. Is Bridgewater a franchise QB ? If you say yes, then go after him in FA......but if you say no, then might as well go with Taylor. Regardless of any QB solution, the Bolts are not close to being a Super Bowl caliber club, as there are far too many issues needing to be resolved. This is what I have said a few times. In fact just a page back...

It happens. We want it our way; I'm convinced of my way; its time to part ways. That may be the sum of it all.

So High School football is his learning ground? What scares me is these stories point to the bolts rolling with TT, not signing any FA's of substance, and figuring they will be fine through the draft. Cause it working.... I guess?

We can only hope they are saying this to hide their true intention. I liked his closing lines - "I'm a big fan of his. And if he decides to continue to play, I'm going to root for that young man and Tiffany; they are two special people. But it was just time. It happens. Brett Favre left Green Bay. Joe Montana left the 49ers. Peyton Manning left Indy. It happens."

And he got TT on his side. So let’s see what you got Lynn

There is no way in hell the OTHER TT is putting HIS job on the line with Tyrod Taylor.

He is just propping his player up. Let me give you another scenario. The Chargers sign Tom Brady AND Tua. You think Lynn is saying that crap then ?? "Hey, Tyrod. What say you run down and get Tom and Tua some doughnuts for the press conf. Good job "starter" !! Go "Team"" I laugh.

Yea, that is not going to happen.......Brady is not stupid, and Tua will be off the board.
