I'm not predicting anything, but I'll throw two Freak sneaky picks at you:
Free Agency: Teddy Bridgewater.
Freak's Draft Darkhorse: Jalen Hurts

There are a ton of free agent starting caliber QBs linked to the Chargers, and my opinion is none of them will be worth their cost ($20m+) solely because I think we can spend our cap dollars filling other holes- and if we don't shore up those weaknesses then NO quarterback will be successful. So it's mostly a chronological thing for me.
Now that doesn't preclude drafting a QB, and while a lot of predictions have us using our #6 on Herbert, Tua, or Love (in order of popularity in mock drafts) I'm leaning towards using this on a top rookie Olineman or defensive stud who should be there for us.
If the Chargers do decide to get a vet QB in free agency, I'd prefer Bridgewater the most and Brady the least!
If the Chargers decide on getting a rookie QB to begin to develop (behind Tyrod or a signee), I like the idea of Hurts in the mid-rounds over using our #6 on one.
And in the back of my mind is a question on Easton Stick- is there ANY chance the team is higher on him than we fans are? Could they see him as improving and developing and taking over for Taylor next season? He was a mid-round draft pick, kinda like we're suggesting doing this year.

Right now, I don’t think it’s likely there will be any QB signings unless it’s a high value, relatively low cost [likely backup or camp competition]. (They may yet take one in the draft as a development player.) They just might roll with TT the boring but safe game manager and save the cap space.

I doubt that TT will sign a FA QB in the near future. I believe that he believes that winning sells the LAC brand and that solid OL and killer D is the quickest way help this team win more games. FA is going to be interesting and revealing. IMO Hurts is a definite maybe.

Likely: Tyrod Taylor Darkhorse: Dak Prescott!! REACT!! Agree that Taylor is most likely. If Dak was absolutely a free agent (he's 1000% certain to be franchised if not re-signed) I would put him at the top of the list of available veterans, but I would hate the price that would have to be paid.

Hurts will go late 1st or second round. Multiple sources say the filthy raiders are all over Hurts and want him in the bottom of the first. Remember, I told you all he was my Darkhorse QB pick in the draft. Now you can couple that with Mike Mayock wants him. Do you really need anymore talky talk at that point ?

Legal tampering starts in 2 hours. I suspect Mayock does like, or appreciate, Hurts' abilities. Beyond that, I believe the comment was made to mislead others about the Raiders intentions in both FA and draft. Do you believe anyone is waiting the two hours?

This stuff is handled by agents......players are snoozing until it gets serious.
