Hill was flabbergasted when Chris Hayre pulled up some old Charger photos at the start of the feed from when Hill was playing his first season in the AFL (his rookie year ended on his first play in a preseason game when he suffered a season-ending injury returning a kickoff). The photos were really nice, and Hill's comments were even better. Jim Hill is an institution in SoCal. He is great! You should make time to have a listen when you have a chance. The sessions last a half-hour. I watched it. They cut the photos of JH though. Too bad. I like the players. they all seem to have their heads on right. i think there is an uphill battle though without the training. KJ though sounded like he was learning the routes by actuallywalking through them. I hope those three turn out to be key personnel. KJ Hill intrigues the hell out of me. Went to THE Ohio State University. I want you to think of the great receivers in history that went to Ohio State. The great Saints Michael Thomas was drafted out of there in 2016 alone. KJ Hill is the LEADING receptions guy ALL TIME at Ohio St. That is insane. He had 57 catches last year for them. Slot Receiver that has GLUE for hands. I'm telling you right here, they have an opening that no one talks about. Travis Benjamin left. I think they deliberately drafted Hill for that reason. Projected in the 4th, he fell to the 7th Round. I am really rooting for him to do well for us. Do anything to crack the roster. He was a punt returner too !!

Projected 4th rd, yet every club passed on him 4th, 5th and 6th rds......why ?

The teams that wanted one had already gotten one ?? I suppose that reason is as plausible as the scouts are terrible, or GM's are stupid..... He will need to shine in any opportunity he gets, and opportunities might be limited in a shortened training camp.

Rookie contract, I think there is room on the depth chart, he can return punts too. If he shines learning the playbook and executing plays, his odds go way up.

I think the lack of talent after KA and MW gives him a great opportunity. With the defence that we should be seeing, there will be plenty of need for punt returning....

His catch radius is part of it. So herbert only needs to get it close. KA, MW, KJ, HH, Ekler...Good grief that should be scary

Hmmmm, that may not be a bad comparison- a slightly smaller, less athletic receiver with great hands who runs excellent routes and is always where he's supposed to be! (Mind you that Edelman is several years in the league and much better than he was as a rookie so I'm not saying KJ HIll is as good as Edeman is now, just that the style is similar and his potential could be similar!)
