So for the first time in about 20 years an UnDrafted Free Agent didn't make the Chargers team? At first I was thinking 6’8” TE Parham was one, but turns out he was a UDFA in 2019. It sounds like they preferred FB Nabers’ versatility over Holly’s blocking abilities (better route runner plus he is a backup long snapper), but he didn’t make the final 53 and will be on the practice squad. From what I have read, he is likely to bounce between the practice and active squads based on game day matchups. |

Guys like Easton Stick have the best jobs in America... Dude better be saving his money... Easton Stick (who replaced Carson Wentz in college and then went 49-3) may possibly be the best QB on the roster.

If Stick was so great we would not have drafted Herbert and Stick wouldn't have thrown 4 picks to his 1 TD in preseason last year.

Panthers claimed Trent Scott... I'm wondering if their confidence in Okung is shaken? In addition to having Okung and Schofield on their roster, the Panthers also picked up 2019 Chargers oline coach Ron Meyer. I think it's more likely that Scott has familiarity with Meyer's blocking scheme, but who knows for sure?

Stick is a potentially quality future backup to Herbert. Yup, that's his projected role, and if he fills it in 2021 that's even more cap money that can be spent in areas other than QB. Stick reportedly had a good camp.
