The epic December 2018 Chargers-Chiefs game is airing right now on NFL Network. 2nd quarter is starting with the Chargers trailing 14-0.
[EDIT] I had forgotten that the RB's for this game were Detrez Newsome (now out of the NFL) and Justin Jackson (seemingly perpetually injured). KA injured his hip in the 2nd quarter and didn't return. This was also Travis Benjamin's best game as a Charger and where MDub really emerged.
It's just too damned bad (and Chargery) that they didn't have healthy LB's for the playoffs. December 2018 through the wild card round in Baltimore were the peak of Chargers fandom over the past decade.

We can win if we run the ball dominantly and score every time we have it. We don't need to score every time we have it, but running the ball dominantly is a must with play-action mixed in to slow down the pass rush.

We have to convert on 3rd downs... Every time we give the ball back to KC they'll have roughly a 50/50 chance of scoring.

You are all correct. We have to keep Creamy Butterfly on the sideline. Time of possession has to be ours. Run the ball, long drives. Our scary part is TT CONVERT 3rd downs.
The defense may not stop them, but they have to slow them the hell down. Get off the field in the red zone, make them kick FG's. Get a couple lucky turnovers.
It can be done. It feels like a trap game for KC. Looking past us, and its OUR HOME OPENER IN A NEW STADIUM !!!!

If we stick with the plan, KC will score low - mid 20's. ( actually we want 0 but seems a tad over-the-top optomistic) Question is, can our offense score enough? We'll need D takeaways, strong STs contribution.
