Saleh will be hired simultaneously by both the Jets and the Eagles. The Chargers will move along to candidate number 3 on their list of 20. Stay tuned, we'll have a coach the day after draft day! Lol. Guess that second interview didn’t happen or didn’t impress one side🤔

Well this sucks. I was just about to predict the Bolts would hire Robert Saleh and then WHAM!!! the Jets scooped him up. With Urban Meyer off the list going to the Jags, things are starting to get dicey. We better not end up with Jason Garrett or Eric "Fools Gold" Bieniemy. Perhaps the Bolts have already secretly met with Brian Daboll. His schedule should be free for an in-person meeting after the Bills lose to the Ravens this Saturday. Looking into my Sunday morning crystal ball: "BREAKING NEWS--Bolts sign Brian Daboll".

Can they sign a guy that is coaching in the playoffs? No. See my later post. My over-cautious remark was directed at the plan. Hard to say without knowing their plan aside from select & hire a new HC. It could be that they're targeting A Daboll, B Bienemy or C Staley. Just following the rules in that case. So far. Then again, it could just be another lost opportunity.
We fans are due. Get us a good one Dean.

At this point it strikes me that the big search was mainly a fakeout and they always wanted Daboll (or Saleh and couldn’t close).

I was hoping for more from Murray in his rookie year, but it wasn’t a bad season. His game should rise a level(s) when Staley releases the hounds in 2021. 🍺

I also believe that Tillery will make a jump in 2021. We saw some glimpses this past season, but I'm looking forward to Staley using him as a piece of the defensive puzzle. The mix of defensive fronts was the hallmark of the Rams 2020 defense, and Tillery, Bosa and Ingram (? for 2021) are effective pass rushers from the interior and the edge. Add Murray and Nwosu to the stew and there are all kinds of options for an inventive coaching staff. For everything that that Donald and Ramsey are, the Rams had the #1 defense in 2020 due to the advances that the supporting pieces made around them.

Yeah as really Tillery, Bosa, will be in the making that jump to elite. As really the defense that needs to prove they need to realize they win games with defense. Just hope that they can build it around Bosa among those like him. He can't do it alone.

The big wild card is DJ: he absolutely has the presence, ability and leadership qualities necessary to be the Ramsey equivalent at the back end, but the big question mark is whether he can be cut from the same mold as early-career injury-plagued KA and Super Mel who then becomes a consistent 16 game player for several years. Keeping my 🤞!!

Keeping my 🤞!! He absolutely was not elite. Missed 25% of games this year and had 7.5 sacks. That is far, far removed from elite. Did you know he only had 29 solo tackles this year ? Elite ? I don't even think so.

Defenses loaded up on him due to Bradley’s unimaginative scheme, and he still produced with massive QB pressure and great run defense. My advice: watch the game film, and stop basing your analysis on a piece of paper. And even on paper, he was dominant: Before he suffered the concussion where the Chargers shut him down for long-term good, he was 9th in the NFL in sacks, 2nd in QB hits, and tied for 3rd in tackles for loss. His 6 tackles for loss against the Bills was the best defensive performance of the year against a team that may be in the Super Bowl in two weeks time.

My advice is missing 25% of the games and 7.5 sacks with 29 tackles is not elite. Because it isn't. End of story.

Bosa is an elite talent that had less than an elite season.
