His odds are better in year two.
With a HC that is a former NFL QB, better OL blocking for Herbert, pass game CO Brady, multiple WR, TE, RB rec options at all levels and a run game to keep Ds honest. Sure. You are expecting a whole bunch of things to go quite well.....not too sure that will happen. Personally, I expect coaching to be better across the board. A lot. Herbert-better. RB- better. WR group better. TEs- better. OL- better. Edge-better. DL- better, LBs- better, Ss- better. CBs- better.
LOL! Guess I do. The only qualifier being better than last year. How much in each case remains to be seen.

I am hoping for playoffs this year, next year I want to be in the Show. Look at it this way, 6-11 is a better record than last year.

Seems overly optimistic. There should be significant improvement in club organization and game day management from Harbaugh and staff, but to what degree is yet to be seen. It will be challenging to see improvement across the entire set of position groups, as injuries will occur, and depth will be tested. RB, OC, CB and TE seem to be lacking in talent....throw an injury into the mix, and uh oh..... Maybe they stay healthy, and I am reading the talent incorrectly. Time will tell, eh

Better coaching across the board, definitely. A more cohesive playing team and better record than last year too. The coaches will churn the new & old players over the season or two and a solid team will emerge. I am thinking a nine win season maybe eleven and a WC spot with a bit of good luck. But make the dance and anything can happen.

Two established quality FAs and Vidal, Spiller and Dotson look good to me. C Bozeman- vet starter on a good Bal OL. TE's are a major upgrade blocking, OK hands. CBs have decent starters, depth questionable. The 2s are decent prospects. Coach Clinksdale is head and shoulders better than any DB coach we have had in years. He may do better than you expect with the youngsters.
That aside, it's football. Stuff happens. I'm looking forward to the good- bad and indifferent. Pretty sure we'll have fun and Ws this year.

Dobbins and Edwards are both hoping to revitalize their careers, Spiller has been awesome....maybe not so much, Dotson? keep hoping.....Vidal might end up being something, might not...rookie so who knows. Yea, that RB group is patch work, with plenty of 'hope for the best' going on. Some of those prayers will be answered, some will not....Freak would advise not betting too heavily. Bozeman needs to stay healthy, as there is just another 'hope for the best' in reserve at OC. Bozeman in his best is just an ok OC, so hoping they get that at least for the entire season. The TE's will be an asset when running the ball, but are not likely to be much of a threat when it is a passing play. Even if they get open, with "ok hands" trying to catch Herbert bullets....just not expecting much would be wise. CB's are like WR's, they miss games.....the reserve DB's will be important. That said, it appears that the defence will be predicated off of creating pressure on the QB, limiting the time he has to find the open WR. If they get that pressure, the DB's will survive..... if they do not get it, the lack of talent will be exposed. Maybe Clinksdale gets the players to play better than they ever have, as that would replicate exactly what I believe is Harbaugh's greatest attribute....getting more out of players than previously seen. That is the great unknown about this club, will they over achieve for Harbaugh? My thought is 10-7.....really good first year at changing the tenor. Year two under Harbaugh, and Horitz, will be the year to watch!

I'm convinced anyone who says Spiller looks good either hasn't been watching him play or has the homer goggles surgically implanted to their face. No offense jim but Spiller has shown nothing, literally nothing. I don't care how young he is, he averages less than 3 yards a carry and barely has over 100 yards rushing for his 55 snap career.

We can do both. At the same time too.

I’m an unapologetic homer but even I don’t think Spiller has shown starter worthy potential. I’d love to be proven wrong because that would make my team better, but I don’t think it will magically happen now after two years of trodding the bench and unable to eclipse Michel or Kelley.

Agreed, I was super high on Spiller when we drafted him. Now after 2 years, reality has set in. Maybe Harbaugh and Roman can do something with him but I doubt it.

Yes he did. I'm not a Trevor guy. No way he is even a top 10 guy for me.
