Yes, no doubt about it in regard to buying her out earlier. The dirty laundry is going to be out there soon which is why I can see the NFL stepping in with the arbitration which will keep most of the laundry unseen. I have never defended Dean Spanos as being a savvy businessman, and it’s obvious he isn’t. And yes, it’s pretty clear that the remaining Spanos’ will sell the franchise by 2024. I view that as being a W for the Chargers fan base. 🍺 That ain't a W in the short term. "Let's go out and win one for the unnamed owner !!!! Yay !" doesn't exactly ring true in these situations. Causes turmoil. The truth is that coaches and GMs are usually bounced right after an ownership change, look how the spanos family humiliated a legendary coach like coryell by firing him mid season, you guys are upset about marty? I’m still upset about the way fouts and coryell were treated, it was disgusting and classless. In an era when players didn’t request trades we had jim lachey, perhaps one of the best LTs in the league at that time and one of the best in charger history perhaps only behind HOF Ron Mix and he asked to be traded then promptly helped washington win a super bowl after leaving san diego in his absolute prime.

The Chargers had a traitor in the ranks (director of football operations Steve Ortmeyer) with Raider roots who was the key dude in the awful Lachey trade. In 1989, Ortmeyer returned to the Raiders after spending three years in San Diego. www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1988-07-31-sp-10943-story.htmlThe only justice that was done is that Ortmeyer ended up trading Lachey to Washington for QB Jay Schroeder, and Lachey ended up being a key player on the 1991 Redskins Super Bowl championship squad. 🍺

What's that helicopter doing up there ? What's that shiny thing on that hill ? Coaches, go check out that hill !!"

Alex spanos initially tried to purchase the raiders, the spanos are from norcal and they loved and rooted for the raiders. When alex was unable to buy the raiders it was al davis that he was friends with and Al told him to jump on the chargers because gene klein was having money issues. So alex was taking advice from Al davis from day one including the hiring of ortmeyer. So who was the real traitor? Here is a team owned by people that idolized Al Davis and loved the raiders, a team in our own division!!! the Spanos family had to settle for my beloved chargers because they couldn’t buy the team they actually wanted. imagine my anguish as teenager when this was all happening, I was devastated. The chargers have been held hostage by the spanos family long enough, i honestly hope this lawsuit forces them to sell.

Fabiani is back!! What he said is ridiculous. Of course, we all know the asset is worth more than the debt. And Dean has apparently been leveraging that borrowing from Peter to pay Paul. But that is not enough for Dea. She doesn’t want to stay afloat. She wants to cash out. At the end, the guy mentioned the Bolted podcast which I referenced before. Players for years had complained about the facilities and treatment of players and Barksdale and Kenneth Farrow both talk about things like the catering, etc that were worse than a D III College. People used to say the Spanos were cheap. Apparently it was more like they are cash poor.

The California AG stepped in to this dispute I assume on behalf of charities. Now Goodell inserts the NFL

If that’s the case the Spanos should have bit the bullet and bought her out before this became public and another black eye for the Spanos. All their dirty laundry for the world to see. Either way, looks like The Chargers will be sold in 2024. I guess there’s a buzz about Bezos but he wouldn’t be my choice. There’s plenty of other billionaires. 🍺 No surprise that Goodell stepped in to keep it out of public view. It’s the NFL’s modus operandi to keep this from becoming a Sterling-like spectacle.

No surprise that Goodell stepped in to keep it out of public view. It’s the NFL’s modus operandi to keep this from becoming a Sterling-like spectacle. You called it! You two are smarter than that. Don't you think DEAN has quality legal counsel representing his interests ? It was known the league would get involved with a change of venue request to the court in LA. Once the league gets involved, it's bye bye Dea and her singing attorney, Streisand.
