The oline got great grades in the Washington game, and played great. The scheme was burn them with the pass that game. Few rushing attempts was by design. 29 carries for 90 yards. Generally when you are scheming to burn teams with the pass game and the oline run blocks well, the average per carry is well above average. When they attempted to run against Washington, it didn’t work at all. Did you know Cleveland averages 38 runs per game ?? You made me look at the list. Spooky Last 3 games......38. Mayfield is not right and they are trying to keep it a secret.

On yesterday’s NFL Today, Dan Orlovsky demonstrated some really good points about how a harness on the non-passing shoulder negatively affects the QB’s ability to scan the secondary and deliver the football accurately, and that this is something that Mayfield will be dealing with the rest of the season. Mayfield has not looked to be himself passing the ball the past two games with the injury (very inaccurate), so an extra focus on slowing down the Browns run game will really put the injured QB under pressure. I’m looking forward to seeing what Staley has dialed up on Sunday. 🍺

After a fairly challenging day, I was sitting with a friend and colleague trying to help him get past some things. Anyway, over a glass of cognac the conversation drifted to NFL, and the Chargers. I said they seemed to be doing well, 3-1 record behind great play from their QB Herbert. His reply got me thinking a bit......'if they are winning because of their QB play, opponents will figure that out.' I understand, as does my friend, you need your best players to show in order to win consistently at top level. I believe his comment was more directed to being the wins were very similar..... My question to those that have watched all game, are the wins similar in format? Ask your friend when opponents will figure Brady out? While I actually enjoyed the quip, and really appreciate all that Brady brings to the game, the easy response is Brady is the exception to the norm. That noted, being the exception still has him figured out more than not.....it is not like Brady has won 7 Super Bowls in a row.

Hockey guys talking football. Smh 🤦🏽♂️ Not really, as we do not know the game itself well enough. Much more talking philosophy, approach, roster building, managing....

Look at his career record as a starter

Look at his career record as a starter Absolutely.....and that record clearly defines him as both GOAT and the exception to the norm. His record is essentially he wins 2/3 of the time, made the PO's every year (21), but has 'only' won 7 Super Bowls....the exact reverse, 2/3's he fails. I have no interest in the debate about 'did the opponents figure out Brady, or was it his team they figured out while Brady still played great'.... In the end, the other side has very talented members, as such, things get figured out......nobody wins always, nobody.
