It looks like the FS position will be a target in this draft. That's not all bad from what I've read about the Safety's in this draft. HA Ha Clinton Dix Still available Tre Boston

Davis wouldn't have saved us with that gameplan. It's a solid bet that having a quality LB available would have changed that gameplan. Having two would have made it a lock.
I don't believe one more LB makes a difference to Bradley that day. 2 may have. We were getting cut by a thousand knives. It wouldn't have mattered. Just my opinion

Davis wouldn't have saved us with that gameplan. No, but Davis would have probably done a better job of covering James White catching all those passes out of the backfield, AND he would have given us a beefier, sure-tackling LB to go with all those lightweight safeties we used in the penny d. That was just one problem. I feel a key issue was the lack of pushing the pocket from our DT's, along with Boss and Ingram not getting enough pressure from the outside. The report is, against Brady, if you push the pocket, he rushes his throws, and that leads to incompletes and an occasional pick. Also need DT's who can stuff the run. And that's why I think we need a solid DT from the draft AND FA... I agree with you on DT. Been saying it for years. We need a beast on the interior or bosa and ingram getting negated down the stretch. Happens every season and QBs waltz up the pocket with no pressure. Will TT do something about it in FA for once?

Here are the details of his contract as reported by Tom Pelissero. Two years, $10.5 million with $5.25 million guaranteed in 2019. Thomas gets $1 million in roster bonus due next march, On Rotoworld they have the contract listed as 2 years for $20.5 million. I hope that's just a typo though 🙈

HA Ha Clinton Dix Still available Tre Boston Ha Ha may be going back to Washington. I’d take him though for a deal around what Kenny Vaccaro got. I would also take back Tre Boston. He was a LOT better than Addae at the FS spot. Don’t need a super star back there, just a solid player and our coverage will be that much better. If we land one of those two to place at the FS spot, that’ll free us up to focus on DT/NT, OG/T and LB imo.

Do NOT sleep on Thomas Davis.
NFL Top 100. 2017: 89. 2018: 73.
Plenty of gas in the tank. Let's ride.

I don't believe one more LB makes a difference to Bradley that day. 2 may have. We were getting cut by a thousand knives. It wouldn't have mattered. Just my opinion Not just 1 more LB but a Pro Bowl quality guy. Ray Lewis, Luke Kuechly, Thomas Davis? I'm confident that Gus' scheme was a response to having nothing but depth players in the front seven aside from Bosa & Mel. Having a Vince Wilfork in his prime would have changed the game for us also. Liuget, Perryman, White, Brown out, Mebane struggling with a family tragedy that took a lot of his time & energy leading up to the Pats game left Bradley handcuffed to the scheme we played. He did the best he could with talent available.
Admittedly, I'm not sure that one HOF LB would have gotten the W for us but am sure it would have been more competitive and who knows? Belichick did a great job of exploiting our deficiencies.

He's a really good pick up that can only bolster our shaky LB group. Hope the whole group stays healthy this season. If Perryman can stay healthy we'll have a pretty solid group of LB's. We absolutely must get a DT that can keep our LBs clean. They aren't meant to take on blockers, and they will keep getting maimed if they are asked to. Keep them clean and let them use their speed and quickness. Mebane is nice, but we need more.
