That's the Spanos for ya... Arguably the worst owners in football. I personally think the Fords in Detroit are but that's another discussion.

Sponas could of owned all of orange county too. But to say the bolts have lost is stupid. were talking the Rams and LA market. Once the bolts win it next year, the Rams will have lost.

Honestly if the Chargers win the division and at least make it to the AFCCG, Spanos should consider returning to San Diego and attempting a realistic stadium deal. Go back to the table, if the table will have him.
Not saying this as a San Diego homer, but I just don't see the Chargers being successful in LA. Eventually I think they will move again.

It was a different NFL back then too, tickets were cheaper, beer was cheaper, less ways to watch it on TV. If I had to pay for my 600sq foot house built in the 30's that cost me over 700k and $5.00 a gallon for gas in my car, I prob wouldn't go to any games either...

Agreed... Which is/was probably the plan from the beginning. I'm pretty skeptical on a NFL team in SD. That's a good take. It is also good that we acknowledge it did work for 55 years, but times and feelings have changed. I agree with you it would be tough. Not impossible, but tough.

Doubtful new owners will pay a LA valuation to go to a lower valuation found in any move to San Diego.
