From Twitter: This #Chargers Mike Williams deal gives the team MORE 2022 cap space than the FT, for MORE flexibility in FA and the Draft, and keeps the talent level at WR level (at worst!). For folks not happy with the Mike Williams contract, PLEASE tell me what your alternative plan was! π I'm ok with Mike getting paid but if you want my alternative plan it was 151% Davante Adams. No doubt. Easy question.

This is a pretty substantial shift in position, even for a Freak.

MW was used properly by Staley, with the results to show. Absolutely no reason the believe there will be any change. The 20 mil/4 yr term doesn't seem out of line, actually seems just about what was to be expected. Those thinking Adams from Green Bay would have been a better option, think again, as prying Adams away from Rodgers would have cost way more than 20 mil a year......

Davante Adams is a WHOLE 'nother level than Mike Williams. MW isn't even the best WR on his own team !!

I predicted a good year for him because he was in HIS CONTRACT YEAR. Right again. If he got around 1172 yards on a team that spreads the ball around, I have no problem with his contract.
