It would be a mistake to spend big money on JC Jackson. Explain please. We both know that adding a top CB will make the defense better. I think you're against spending "big money". How much then? I favor draft & FA, at least two new CBs that we can count on. If not a top FA, I think we're committed to top CB avail at 17.

Who would you rather have? JC Jackson (~$19 m) or Akiem Hicks + Bobby Wagner (~$16 m) I am leaning towards the latter. This would definitely firm up the run-D. Pick 17 would be a CB or BPA if the shelf was picked clean.

Pick 17 would be a CB or BPA if the shelf was picked clean. I like Hicks & Wagner but this does nothing to address a major need, pass D. We play 6 games vs Mahomes, Carr and Russel Wilson. LAC needs 5 starting quality CBs. Samuel and Davis had trouble w/ inj and the depth was not good. CBs are a must acquire. We won't need to concern ourselves about run D if we can't defend the pass.

I expect them to still sign a top FA CB plus DT, LB, RT, and RB/KR, plus some depth.

There’s a reason BB is letting him go. Guys that leave the Patriots don’t generally have the same results elsewhere with a couple of notable exceptions. Signing Jackson would likely shoot our wad and we need more than 1 CB. DL and LB are in dire need. Did you watch the Buffalo NE playoff game? The whole NE defense got worked but Jackson looked lost and disinterested. Hard pass |

I think the combination of LA, Mack, James, and Bosa will make alot of defensive players more inclined to be a Charger. So far we have only lost Harris who was terrible anyways... I'd prefer JC Jackson over a rookie and 2nd year player (Samuel) as starters in the secondary. My wish list today... Hicks, Jackson, KWON ALEXANDER (not Wagner) 1st Jordan Davis 3rd Best RB available (assuming Brian Robinson Jr.)

We still have a glaring hole at RT too!Either high draft pick or free agent but no more half assing the o line.Herbert is the franchise,protect the franchise.How about Morgan Moses,Sabastian Joseph-Day,and DJ Reed?Grab these guys to go along with Mack truck and I would be happy with this years free agency.
