When’s the last time we had 3 legit superstars on defense? I’m not including jC Jackson in that I can't recall anything in my lifetime. But include JC Jackson in that and make it 4. |

Any feel for how the ROT competition is going? Who is getting the time with the starters?

Any feel for how the ROT competition is going? Who is getting the time with the starters? Reports are that Norton and Pipkins are splitting time evenly on 1st and 2nd teams. One one day, the other the next. It should be educational. Slater reports than Mack has shown him variations of moves he had not seen before. Pads go on tomorrow. It's expected that increased contact will elevate the level of competition. Coach Staley says that RTs will continue to alternate evenly. At some point ( to be determined) the winner will be determined by being more consistent at the techniques coach wants to see. The other will be swing OT depth.

I like it......Staley is really pitting them against each other, battle hard and elevate the effort. That will win games.... Slater was awesome last year, but he is still young. Those Vets stay around for a reason, and having plenty of variations in technique is one of those reasons. How has Mt Zion been.....he seems mature far beyond his years.

As for Tranquil, perhaps his body won't stand up over the long haul. We'll see In the meantime, we'll continue to put up with our emperor & his illusions of grandeur as he reports from 2,700 miles away. PS I hope that you're wearing clothes. 😉
