Denver loses, Raiders lose.....Chargers and Chiefs win..... Thursday is for top spot in the AFCW. This game may very well set the tone for the rest of the season. I agree.....really big game, and the Chargers seem to lay an egg in these.....but maybe things have changed. This game feels like it is far more important to the Chargers then the Chiefs.....

This game feels like it is far more important to the Chargers then the Chiefs..... I don't see it that way. I expect the Chiefs to win at home. We must go 3-3 minimum in the division. 4-2 is what I expect. 5-1 would be incredible. A win would be a bonus.

Almost every Chef-Charger game has been a nail-biter since Herbie arrived: two home losses in OT where the Chargers had a chance to close it out, and a win at Arrowhead early in 2021. The only one that was different was the final game of the 2020 season where the Chargers won comfortably with the Chefs resting their starters in the final weekend of the regular season. Here's a nugget - Raiders next 4 games before their early bye (neither the Cards nor the Titans will be happy with their Week 1 performances): Home vs Cards Away at Titans Home vs Broncos Away at Chefs (Monday Night)

Man, as much as I'm a homer and hope the Chargers win this one... I have to agree with SDC that we come up short. And that's OK. We don't have to go undefeated outright or even just within the division to succeed (playoffs, Super Bowl). We just have to get better, stay injury free and win MOST of our games. So I'm tempering my expectations and applying a bit of realism to this one- the Chiefs looked like the second best team in week one (the Bills were number one) and they are playing at home while we are missing a key DB ( who called that weeks ago on this very forum??) playing a second tough division opponent and on the road in a short week... the cards are stacked against us this week. Winning this one would be a bonus and I'll gladly eat crow if we pull this off!

Adam Schefter @adamschefter · 4m Chiefs have placed first-round pick, CB Trent McDuffie, on injured reserve.

Did the Chiefs improve their oline much? serious question. I think if our defense can get to Mahomes we win, looks like I'm the optimistic one here.

That should do the trick.

Maybe you can agree that we are 2-0 our last two games at Arrowhead. How about that !!!
