That's vague as it should be I guess... He'll be back before he should, bank on that. My guess is he tries to play with a flack jacket and pain injections. Hopefully not administered by the same guy who shot up Taylor. But this will be an issue all season /agreed
and likely the reason given if we miss the PO's.
Before other people get bent out of shape over that comment, I hope I'm wrong and its a few days/weeks with no effect on the season moving forward.

Hopefully not administered by the same guy who shot up Taylor. But this will be an issue all season I suffered that injury three times in my rugby career and it’s definitely painful. However, unless he reinjures on another similar play, it takes about 3-4 weeks to heal. I expect that Herbert will be very choosy when running the ball the next few weeks with either a slide or running out of bounds being the end result. What they need to stop is the hits in the pocket like he took last night. Linsley being in the lineup is a must.

Behind the crushing interception Everett explained that he was trying to leave the game about four minutes into the fourth quarter because of a sore ankle suffered in the Chargers’ season-opening victory over Las Vegas. He had caught passes on the previous two plays as the Chargers moved to the Chiefs’ three-yard line looking to break a 17-17 tie. “Just injured, playing injured,” he said. “It happens in the game. Trying to let one of my guys come in and get me instead of me being out there hurt. But that’s how the game goes.” With the Chargers deciding to go up-tempo, Everett was unable to leave the field. Herbert then threw in Everett’s direction near the goal line, where Kansas City’s Jaylen Watson picked off the pass and ran 99 yards for a stunning touchdown. “I guess Justin thought I was going to box the guy out,” Everett said. “But the DB played it pretty well. He just kind of sat on it. I tried to stutter him and get to the pylon, but the ball was in the air by the time we realized we weren’t on the same page.” www.latimes.com/sports/chargers/story/2022-09-16/chargers-takeaways-from-chiefs-game

Rib cartilage fracture / tear (no broken bones). Playing in the front row in rugby where you have to bind & drive directly into the opposition makes it impossible to play through.

Like I said tough mf’r. 3-4 weeks sounds like a lot less than other people are saying for it to heal. That’s good news

Hank Bauer backs up the 3-4 week recovery - and that’s a special teamer / RB. Herbie should be okay so long as he doesn’t get rocked like he was in the 4th quarter last night.
