I ask all of you should I stop being a moderator ? frozen seems to have not liked that idea from the beginning, and he "avoids." There is the genesis of this. NO - you should stop "taking the bait" though. Someone I know said long ago "turn the other check". To his credit, Cliff is a master baiter.

I have no idea how AJ actually was. I know how he was portrayed in the media, which might or might not be a fair portrayal. AJ matters little, as the Bolts seem to have changed their internal structure of responsibilities, or power structure if you prefer. Clearly the compiling of information is done collectively, as is the plan moving forward I would assume. How actual draft day decisions are arrived is another area of unknown. I seriously doubt that TT just makes the decision, as while he certainly has a strong voice in the room, my guess is J Spanos has just as strong of a voice. Add in HC, Asst. coaches, scouts that might be in the room, there are plenty of voices....TT just gets the fame/blame for the pick, GM's being the face of the Admin staff. Regardless of their process, it seems to be working, as the roster is improving each off season, and the missed picks are not a crazy amount. Yep...probably true...it's kind of like the book, "Animal Farm": "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others." TT and Baby Spanos are most probably the biggest voices, but I have to think TT as GM has the final say...but if TT were to be going against Spanos frequently, then it's a sign he's about to get the boot, but not likely... Is that so. In babe' the dog was leader over every animal. maybe it's just the culture of the moment. Disc is right. TT has been improving this roster from the get go. Whatever he is doing is working. Lets hope it finally gets the bolts a Lombardi

Imagine TT and Baby Spanos and others in the draft day war room:
TT: Okay, we're on the clock. Bradley: Wilkins is right there. No brainer. Let's go! Do it!
Whiz: No, we went defense in round 1 last year! This year, gotta go O-tackle. We got our choice of Dillard, Cody Ford, Cajuste, and McGary. I like Dillard. Let's go! Do it! Baby Spanos: But when in doubt, (glancing at TT), always go with...B-P-A... TT: (slight nod to Baby Spanos) Yep, and Lock is at the top of our Big Board right now... Bradley and Whiz: Nooooo..... Whiz: But we just signed Taylor! I need an O-tackle, BAD! Bradley: Well I need a D-tackle bad... Baby Spanos: B-P-A... TT: B-P-A... Baby Spanos and TT: ...for our team, on this draft day! B-P-A, B-P-A, we make the call, so don't say "nay!!!"

TT goes all defense again and Whiz might literally punch him in the face, and I'm not joking either. Telesco tells the story Whiz wouldn't even talk to him at last years draft. Throw him a damn Olineman or something to make him happy ! Wow.

Amen TC. I've wondered if others are getting as tired of the back and forth between Frozen and Woodeye as I am.In fact, I wonder if they even realize how out of hand it has become? How about a truce? Yep...agree...come on, everybody! Let's be nice... Yawn.........Who dared awaken me from my Royal slumber ? Nice and truces Now let me think...........Woodeye is my puppet Mod, so he has to stay........well, pac is too, but only if McRugby tells him to be. Meh, close enough I suppose. frozen, meh, I can't believe anyone would get upset by him..............its the offseason so the war is amusing me . You are all here for my abusement,,,,,,,,,,,,,send the request to the High Council. After they get done mishandling it, I'll rule on it. Not a great system, but its our way I suppose. Signed off from an ink plotter of Canadian blood, Love Emp.

The Steelers are famous for this approach, and saying. We don't make headlines in March, we make them in the Fall/Winter. They have the most boring FA historically every year (except for the circus that was this year). Its cute to copy them, but there is 6 Huge Differences now isn't there............

Freak, you are consistent. I'll give you that. To your point, Signing a single key FA to a position of need isn't a splash signing just to make headlines in the offseason. Its to make the headlines in the PO's. One player can make a difference. However, they are succeeding slowly using their method. So it's hard to argue otherwise. But I also don't see one player as buying a championship. The league moves a lot of piece every year. Only a few players are ever considered to be too costly to let go.
