The last 2 years we are 27th in the league running the ball. THAT HAS TO CHANGE. When you have that kind of lead you have to be able to run the ball in the second half. Remember this: You have to be able to run the ball when everyone in the stadium knows you are going to run the ball. Lack of any run game and run D were killers this year. To me—Ek is a gadget back, a hybrid. He’s not a RB1 but he is an outstanding athlete that can create. But if you don’t have an actual RB1 then you’re stuck on checks and stick routes.

Pederson, new coach at Jax, just beat us twice this year, he is still in the playoffs. I appreciate some of your takes, but I am sick and freakin' tired of excuses. They just don't wash anymore. That's not directed at you but at our organization.

In the Chargers case, injuries certainly are one of those realities. Regardless, any evaluation must be about finding remedies to the mistakes or issues. I do not believe the Chargers do anything out of the norm in how they handle player activity, NFLPA assures that, so look elsewhere. For me it is the halftime adjustments were horrible, both sides of the ball every game. What is the fix? Give me a new OC, and hire an experienced DC....and let him run the D. Staley needs to be a HC....not a HC/DC combo.....it isn't working. What do you see wrong, and what is your fix?

To me the injury excuse went out the door when we made the playoffs, the season started new and we were missing 2 key players. Williams and Slater... We still should have won that game and blowing a 27 point lead makes the injury excuse a moot point. I get it you think they have to look at the season as a whole and yes the team came together and made the playoffs. Cool. That playoff game was an overall summary of everything wrong with Staley as a coach packed into one important game.

That particular problem has been around all season......

And there were key injuries to Davis, Carter and Salyer. Which just emphasized the roster mismanagement all season. We had 2 WR in this game. Was there no one besides Bandy would could play? That’s a huge mistake on Staley/TT.

If they knew they were short WR, why didn't they change to the next strength of multiple TE's instead of throwing Bandy in there? They would have been better to send Eckler out as a WR and let Kelly have the backfield IMO. maybe they tried and I missed it?
