I watched Staley's post game availability....he did not seem his usual ra ra self. Can’t feel good knowing that your backup OTs are absolute trash. Much of the offensive issues were on the line (and Stick didn’t exactly help). Have to feel better about the D depth though (in spite of a few poor plays, overall pretty solid showing).

Pretty certain the pivot would be back to Salyer, with the elevated reserve coming from OG options. Staying healthy is all that D really needs for them to be competitive......

Guys I liked in Game 2 PS:
Quentin at WR Tuli Tuipulotu at Edge
Zack Bailey getting time at OT was our highest ratted PFF olineman of the game !! I liked Spiller's effort.
Stone Smartt is kind of a hybrid TE. Light at 226 pounds, but he had a good game. Parnham looked like crap.
I am rooting for Layne because Moe likes him at safety. He played way better than the stats showed (it DOES happen). He is James' backup, but I have been saying all summer we are hurting at Free Safety. Woods played better than usual there. They think he is the answer, my jury is still out.

I think Salyer is the longer term solution if needed (due to serious injury, etc.). But we may see Foster in there for shorter periods. It makes me very nervous. Let’s hope the D can indeed stay healthy!

Let’s hope the D can indeed stay healthy! I can see that, a reserve OT filling in for one game....but they are reserves for a reason, so your nervousness is shared by many. Chargers have the talent, which is one of the three needs. Health and Luck can only be seen after the fact. Let's pray for all......

I do like Stone Smartt. First it was just because of his name. But he can catch and did a good job blocking on Sticks TD. Is Stone #2?

If the two paths going the way they are going he could elevate to #2. He was a good QB in High School and Small college. Not just any high school, he played for Del Oro High School. So you know he is football Smartt. He looks clutch from 5-10 yards out, which is a great outlet for Herbert to have.

Mr Game 3 back up LB and St. Lynch who was looking good is out. Amen and Niemann both missed the last game. We’re dumpster diving in the pre season

Key block on the Kelley TD run and sure hands. You heard it first from the moekid. He’s TE #2 in my book. I like Parham but he doesn’t seem to be the same guy after his concussion.

The cheap one year contract cemented that for me. I like Smartt. Good football player. Solid. Hope he sticks.
