Off and running for new season. Spurs got the French phenom. Interested to see this guy play. An athletic 7-5 guy who can shoot. Lots of free agent moves already in the books. Nothing that shocking unless you think Fred Van Vleet is worth $130m.

Hopefully he does better than the last phenom (Zion), we'll see if Pop has anything left in the tank to make another Duncan.

Nothing that shocking unless you think Fred Van Vleet is worth $130m. Van Vleet is most definitely not worth that contract. I’d be furious if the Raptors gave up that kind of money to keep him, especially coming off the year he just had. He was a great player and story for the Raptors, and I’ll always appreciate the years we had with him. But his best years are now behind him, and at no point in his career was he the type of player that should be the highest paid guy on the Team. I was hoping for a contending Team that couldn’t afford him as a FA, to work out a sign & trade deal. Damn Rockets messed that up !

Not sure if that says more about his ability and legacy or the current state of coaching talent in the NBA.

The kid at 19 has a very mature game. Inside and outside. To see it in a 7 + footer is even more impressive Yep, Popp is the NBA’s version of Belichick in more ways than one. He’s a bit saltier in his pressers than Bill though. Wemb is like an even better version of Kristaps Porzingis. Time will tell if he his body can be hold up better than Porzingis’ has…

The Top 4 vote getters: 3 Euro Players and 1 Canadian.
Then, of the 12 Players for the US Olympic Team, only 4 (Halliburton, Edwards, Tatum & Holiday) are still alive in the playoffs, and we’re only in the 2nd round !
I’d be fine seeing any of the remaining Teams win the Championship this year….with exception to Boston, they don’t need any more.

My son asked me about the Denver game yesterday. Denver was getting 3.5 points. I said "If they are going to keep giving the reigning champions points, I would keep taking them." He pounded Denver +3.5 points. I told him you are welcome. He told me he placed the bet not me.
It's getting rough in the handicapper world. WOW.
