I keep expecting some announcement of a hire.....so what do you all think is the holdup? Will they hire the GM first? Or are they just 'chargering' this decision straight into a mistake? Yes. So you guarantee that the Spanos are wasting their time trying to find management / coaching that can win in the playoffs? Would you recommend that John hire the cheapest pos available immediately and just get the farce over?

No I actually commend them, will they get it right? Maybe, but history says no. I do guarantee it won't be Harbaugh though, I think they're waiting on Ben Johnson. Nothing wrong with due dilligence in the meantime though...

Look, if some want to be hopeless pessimists then go for it. Doesn’t matter to me at all. But my experience says that we have plenty to be optimistic about. Harbaugh isn’t my top candidate but he would be an awesome win and a vast improvement. We have at least 3 outstanding candidates in the mix and all of them are better than anything we’ve had since Marty. We have multiple outstanding GM candidates. If they **** this up then by all means, pile on. I’ll join you. But right now they’re doing everything right. We should at least try to be objective and keep and open mind. |

Sounds like they have been interviewing some good candidates but at the same time they probably interviewed the kid that works at McDonalds down the street from SoFI... My top 3 are Harbaugh, Johnson, and Vrabel. The sheer fact this team has interviewed everyone and their mom doesn't give me warm fuzzies about their plan or seeming lack there of. You can say interviewing multiple people is good and it could be, but we're taking it to a whole other level.

You want a thoughtful, thorough process. You don’t want them to lock in and be impatient—or hire someone too impatient. |

You can say interviewing multiple people is good and it could be, but we're taking it to a whole other level. Well you certainly had a pretty strong opinion on the former GM Telesco. I would have expected you to have the correct GM in mind, and share it with us. Do not think Harbaugh is becoming HC.... I like Johnson option, but think Vrabel might not be good.
