Hopefully the Spanos clan had the brain to tamper with Belichick while they were in NE. Cuz the day that happens your Oline WILL run block and the defense will lock down. the simple question of "Give me a range of salary options?" Made Dean spit out his Clamato.
If, and it is a big if, but if BB wants to continue coaching after any release from NE, then having a top shelf QB is a must. BB simply won't go to a club that lacks one. Herbert more than fulfills that prerequisite, and I suspect BB would look positively on keeping Moore as OC. The Chargers have talent, they just need high end leadership from their HC.....BB brings that. Might not cost as much as people think....2 year deal, 14 mil a year....28 mil to win a Super Bowl perhaps.

You realize that's probably more than the Spanos have paid the last three coaches combined over their entire tenure. McCoy, Lynn and Staley. thats an 85 -93 record. BB is 300-161 over his career.
He will want and get 20-25 million a year.

Yep, he might want that much.....but he also might want to coach Herbert. That would mean taking less, but I suspect BB's motivation would not be money.

Giving credit to BB goes against the narrative that Moore is terrible OC and needs to be fired. The OC is the only one I would keep if we don't make the playoffs. NE is a 2-10 team, and they have only allowed about 20 points per game. With that 3 and out offense. Pretty great. Wrong-O. Gotta keep the Special Teams coach, too. |

Our punter won AFC special teams player of the week.
Of his 8 punts , 7 of them were inside the 20 yard line !!!!!

Teams played a huge role in our away shutout. Glad he is recognized for a career game.

Kudos to Scott! But with that out of the way, if the punter has to bail you out from dropped passes and 1.2 rushing yards per carry, you're not going to win many games.

That is what happened. Did we miss opportunities to score more points: Yes. But that is their style of play. We did enough to win on the East side and get out of Dodge.
