Our second pick is a great question because several really good prospects at positions of need are currently available. Some may be gone before we pick sixth, but here are a few on my list- Cooper DeJean- we need DBs and I previously listed him as a player I really liked but wouldn't have a chance to draft. Now it seems we might! JerZhan Newton- another position we need and another player I thought would be a first rounder. JPJ- I think center was/is a bigger need than tackle for upgrading our O-line. I really like SDC's Georgia WR Ladd McConkey but I think there's good WRs that could be had in the third so he and Adonai Mitchell would only be in my consideration if the above guys are gone (and they could be!). Then there's Kris Jenkins, Roman Wilson, Mike Sainristil, Blake Corum and Junior Colson from UofMichigan that might be coveted by Harbaugh and taken a round or so higher than 'predicted' tonight or tomorrow. I get he wants his Michigan guys and that's cool. But he needs to stay in his lane. No reaching for them a round early. That I would not like.

Our offense and secondary is atrocious right now, we are a 4 win team. If you think Bozeman is serviceable then skip Center and go either WR McConkey or best available CB.

Wow! I am not unhappy- just surprised at both the trade up and the position drafted.
I am admittedly a draft dimwit.
Glad to see McConkey on the Chargers, I really like him!

I hope we go CB next, we really need it. I'm on the Director Youtube channel and people are real butt hurt we didn't take JPJ. I get it, but CB and WR are big needs too...

his tape makes him look faster. This kid catches with his hands and can run after. Reminds me of Wes Welker.

Congrats SDC ! You not only had the pick you got your Bulldog !!! Thanks. As a little kid, my family moved from Cincinnati. Charlie Joiner was my favorite Bengal. He was traded to the Chargers the year we moved to San Diego. I was a young GM with Chili’s in Raleigh when Philip Rivers was QB at NC State just a few miles from my restaurant. This feels a little like those two. It’s awesome to root for a guy in your back yard then have them end up on your favorite team in all of sports. I really wanted Brock Bowers but this is a close second.

Having Justin Herbert as your QB sure beats the situation the three WRs picked in top-ten are in, despite being 'more talented' players themselves.

Fourth Round Targets?
I'm thinking maybe TJ Tampa (CB Iowa State) or Sedrick Van Pran-Granger (C Georgia) or Jaylen Wright (RB Tennessee).
Kinda surprised Troy Franklin (WR Oregon) is still undrafted as he was mocked to go much earlier.
Several other RB options still on the board worth considering later, and Jerry Rice's son (Brenden Rice WR USC) is still out there for a later round thought.
