I think I saw some 3rd's as well. 4th to 7th is a good drop. Please expand the thinking of certain posters: This may have been the deepest WR draft ever.Thank you, Management I think that has alot to do with it honestly. If you look at his stats they are on point. Projected 4th rd, and 24th ranked WR..... 32 GM's passed on him through six full rounds.....if it wasn't his statistics, then what was the cause?

If it was character issues or discipline issues we would know about it. Just gotta support the kid regardless.

Love the enthusiasm! Rooting for Rice to make the 53 and for QJ to start catching the damn ball.

Rice was the 32nd WR drafted out of a total 35. The 2024 draft was considered one of the deepest for WR's...... Clubs invest a ton of money to know, and while a miss happens, it isn't often in the 7th. Cheer for him, but don't bet the mortgage, eh.....

Based on college performance and testing, he should have been a 3rd or 4th rd pick. I'm really not worried about it. He's a Charger and he'll do whatever he does. Based on nothing current, I see him as our 5th or 6th WR on the depth chart. If he doesn't make it, it's a shame but no skin off my nose. On the other hand, if he exceeds his draft slot --Way to go Hortiz!

One angle that is being completely overlooked is predraft scouting. Harbaugh and staff had multiple visits with Rice before the draft. They liked what they saw and took him. That's good enough for me. My trust is blind in Harbaugh.
Of all the coaches that were available I was the first on here to pound the table for Harbaugh, even before he was officially available.
I don't do that without reasons.

Perhaps he is actually 7th round talent.

You know more about football than I do about Hockey, and that's a fact looool.
