If I wanted to go crazy...........Jets at 20-1. Pittsburgh at 50-1. I think Cleveland at 40-1 is too high as well.
All told, I would name Pittsburgh at 50-1 the longshot bet to make. It has to be that high because it is the toughest division in the NFL (because I said it is). It is the tougher Conf, just to win it all to go through.

So where does a 40-1 odds put them relative to all the other clubs? Just above middle I would assume..... Smack dab in the middle: 16th. One must assume the oddsmakers realize the Chargers hired Horitz and Harbaugh, and clearly included those hires in their calculus. Just imagine where the Chargers might be listed if Staley had been retained...... Clearly this roster is not that talented. Harbaugh and rabbits out of the hat......

But I stand accused of same. They're just going to have to show us.

I made my living evaluating ice hockey players, so don't trust me at all..... As I have said, Harbaugh might create 5-6 new probowl players, and win more than any expect. The unknown.....why they play the games.

So for them to have us at 16th, it is def. the Harbaugh effect, and it should be. We ain't winning no 5 games this year. If he has to skin players on the field that is not happening.

Look at it this way, if they are projecting us around 16th, 14 teams make the playoffs ...................................

I agree with that and I will up the ante on Forecasts to new heights for you right here !!!!!!! Another year of free agency where we will have lots of Cap space, and we get to draft again. The Chargers will be in the Super Bowl for the 2025 Season !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, they will have lost the contracts they needed to lose in 2024, for the most part at least. Harbaugh will have implemented his raising of the standards in 2024, and by the off season he will know who else needs to go. Horitz will have a ton of available Cap space, and another draft, making the 2025 season one of higher expectations. Will they make the Super Bowl? Well there are always 4-6 clubs that are right there, so getting the previously mentioned right bounces will determine who is in, eh

My general response is this: to start a culture of winning, Harbaugh does not intend to start by losing. To win he intends to install a TEAM culture that does not depend solely on top rated individuals, rather position groups that play complementary TEAM football for each other. We have a scattering of elite football talent along with promising young athletes, an elite leader at HC and carefully selected assistants. Whatever conventional thinking says is likely is unlikely when applied to the very unconventional Jim Harbaugh. IMO this is a one of a kind situation. Harbaugh's plan for 2025 is for that to be his second Super Bowl with the Chargers. His good luck will be the product of faith, hard work, extraordinary planning and football experience.
A wildcard is the absolute floor for this team. We are NOT last year's Chargers recycled. Screw a bunch of pre 2024 Chargers records. The odds makers are comfortable with promising $8,000 for $20 if we win the SB because they want your $20. We really are a long shot to be the SB winner. That said, it's a gamble, We really are going for it and Harbaugh has beaten the odds before. Get ready for some fun.
