I like it !!! Joe Alt (with some TE help PLEASE) is the X factor. TJ Watt is probably the best defensive player in the league and can change a game. We HAVE to find a way to scheme him out. So Alt is told that he needs to put his big boy pants on and deal with the star TJ Watt just like he did that Crosby guy......problem solved. These thigs are so easy when there is talent involved.....Alt shuts down another D star player, and the Alt rep grows again. Um............Crosby is one thing and TJ Watt is a whole different animal. Our rookie is going to need some help over on the right side. You don't leave TJ Watt alone with any RT in the league. I am not spooked period. And TJ Watt spooks me.

Time to move on to G3.....which looks to be serious challenge ahead. The Steelers, their home opener, will be interesting, to say the least. Win this game Chargers, and message sent league wide.....lose and the questions and doubt will abound. Freak attends this one, with his son.....is that good luck for the Chargers? Freak wearing a Harbaugh jersey is classic, approved by all! To the game....Steelers have a decent offence, as well as defence....not great in either mode, but not terrible. Chargers are bring a serious defence to the party, and an offence that has shown an ability to run the ball successfully. Injuries will be noted later in the week, but apparently Herbert 'slightly' injured his foot last game. My son and I are 2-0 out East here. One in NY and one in Pittsburgh. They wouldn't dare lose when I grace their game with my presence. So excited for this Sunday !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Opening line: Pittsburgh favored by 1.5 points and the over/under is a low 36.5. We have Vegas's attention............................. It’s a win win type of game. The bolts win and we all celebrate. Otherwise, Freak will be sent into the moat to swim laps with the gators as a penance for jinxing the game. |

this one will get bloody. I think we have the edge on a few places, Run game, O line, QB, our defense has performed better but Their D line may have the edge on us. this game will look a lot like the raider game. I give us the edge in a close one. Chargers 20 - 10. with a late TD to seal it. So how can the Charger's O line have the edge, and the Steelers "D line may have the edge on us"....... I realize my english can be challenged at times, but this seems contradictory? Their D line is better than our D line, our O line is better than their O line.
I understand if you read it as a contrarian it can be difficult.

Thank you. Yes, Pittsburgh is favored by 1.5 points. Typically the home team gets favored by 3 points before they do any other evaluation. So they are really saying we are better by 1.5 points neutrally, but home field gets 3 points so Pittsburgh is favored by 1.5 points. The over and under is a set point, then you wager if the total score of the game is going to go over or under the set point. 36.5 is a really low number. But all 4 Chargers and Steelers games this year have gone under 36.5. So it leads you to believe this will be a really low scoring game. I love the Under for this game. But 36.5 is LOW. I mean a final score of 20-17 is an Over !!!!!! Steelers home opener......they will be fired up....as will the crowd. How well will the Charger offence deal with the noise factor? Not well I suspect. Chargers defence will be solid once again, leading the way to a low scoring win. Chargers prevail.....17-10 Noise doesn't bother us. Are home games are noisy AF when the offense is on the field. |

Nominated. I, better than anyone, understand the complete danger of TJ Watt. But better than Mack and Bosa combined ? He is the best in the business, but I would struggle to say quite all of that.

Yes, recognize the challenge the club in front of you presents, then embrace the value of winning against them in their home opener! If the Chargers can't handle this challenge, they are far from ready to handle the clubs they might face in the PO's.

My prediction: This is a winnable game for the Chargers.
The Stealers have always had decent defenses. This year looks no different. Herbert should give the Chargers the advantage but I do not have confidence that the WR/TE can exploit that advantage. The Chargers defense looks great and Stealer's offense looks competent at best. Stay injury free. The game will be decided in the fourth quarter.
Its a field position game and a battle of the kickers. Dicker The Kicker will win the game for us. I will take the under on this game even though it is crazy low. Only pick-sixes will push the score over.

We are the top defense in the league. Pit is pretty good. Pit's offense is the pits, we lead the NFL in rushing I'd guess that we win a low scoring game. Maybe LAC 20- Pit 9
