Study it all you want, but in the end, it is just good luck. It will change, they will have injuries.....as it is a long season. I saw a chart comparing how many games their starters had missed over the 3 seasons with the Chargers. Huge difference. It's not a small sample size. They're doing something that works, whether it's drafting, S&C, luck whatever. Not a lark I had always thought having a soccer stadium home field and sub par practice facilities played a part in the past. ...but now with new facilities and new S&C coach Herbert, it could just be bad luck.

QB Justin Herbert told reporters there has been talk about resting him until the bye, but he "doesn’t think that’s the way we’re heading." Herbert said he feels "less pain" and was able to do some 7-on-7 work today. A sign his setback didn't set him back much. Look what happened to RGIII when they didn't rest him like they should have... Just sayin.

The Cheffies Nose Tackle is coached to get out of bounds prior to getting blocked ?? Freak football strategy Approved !!! That is really what af is talking about, and how it might apply. Yes, a coach can give WR's, RB's, and the QB wisdom about not taking hits that are easily avoided. That approach simply does not apply with OL or DL players. Slater's pec injury 'might' be from over training, but who knows, eh Alt's knee is just bad luck.... That is what I'm talking about, coaching fundamentals in a way that avoids unnecessary injury. Personally though I think Alt was a victim of the Steelers purposely trying to remove him from the game. Slater is overtraining, how else do you get a pec injury during a game?

Look at Chiefs/Raiders, or Chiefs/Broncos as well, perhaps it is AFCW games motivating players. Then look at Dallas/Eagles and Dallas/Giants.....or any other big rivalry matchups..... All I am saying is there are plenty of reasons or motivations for players, as well as clubs, to keep injuries undisclosed and go play. I am not buying the Chiefs have located the well of health...... It has nothing to do with disclosing or not disclosing injuries. It compares starters and games missed. Not who shows up on an injury report. Why don't you go ahead and do a deeper dive and compare all that stuff if you want. All I know is Mahomes, Chris Jones, Kelce, McDuffie, etc are always playing. While Bosa never is Slater hardly, MW, Herbert, missed a lot of time etc. If you don't notice something different I don't know what to tell ya

Injuries always happen, Chiefs lost Pacheco. But they also take care of business and their other stars as moe mentioned don't miss time. Mahomes has had his share of ankle injuries but again, always plays.
I'm really curious how the Chargers bounce back after this and how Horitz, Harbaugh, and Minter handle it.

(people accuse me of stirring the pot. You are all here for my abusement.) He will go on the list for this year. It's not that they don't have any injuries to starters. They do as do all teams. It's that the missed games by starters over the past 3 years are a much much less than the Chargers. Speaking of Pacheco's absence, the Chiefs will have UDFA Carson Steele and Kareem hunt. Carson played at UCLA and I liked him a lot but he had a fumbling issue. Chargers should be able to make the Chiefs offense one dimensional. But it's a tough dimension
