Staley, as HC, was muddying the water for both the offence as well as the defence.....

We double dipped at CB in the 4th round. We got Hart of Still. HOW ARE THOSE GUYS DOING ?? Yeoman's work in their first year !!!!

So far we have faced Gardner Minshew, Bryce Young, Justin Fields, Patrick Mahomes, Bo Nix, Kyler Murray and Spencer Rattler.
4 of those qbs got benched after we played them or during the game (Rattler).
We did well against Mahomes and Murray but they both beat us when the chips were down.

We did well against Mahomes and Murray but they both beat us when the chips were down. Mahomes and Murray scored 17 points each against us. That should not have been enough had the Chargers offense been playing well. Our Defense is excellent. Currently NFL best. Special Teams- very good. Offense ? Not so much, BUT! they seem to be improving. In our wins the Chargers O has averaged 24.25 PPG. Losses- O avg 11.7 PPG. Point being If the O does their job, we're going to be hard to beat. For the rest of the season we only play two current top defenses, Den and KC. We haven't struggled against top offenses.

I'm certain that our last year's team facing these same teams would not have achieved anywhere near the same result. Obviously nothing empirical can show that, nonetheless I'm still certain. |

Agree and I am happy with the progression of the defense. Just adding some perspective. It's a weird year so far.
