One of the most exciting days of the season. I will be booking accommodation in the cities I plan to visit tomorrow night before the prices go up.
I always make reservations with free cancelation and can always back out later.

Fingers crossed. I cannot wait for Charger football!

Detroit and Chicago are in play for me if the dates work. If they don't, I may head down to Nashville.

• The opening game is already set, as the Bears will host the Packers on Sept. 5 — a Thursday night.
• Since the Patriots are the defending Super Bowl champions (yet again), expect them to get the first Sunday night game, likely at home, on Sept. 8.
• As for the first Monday night game, on Sept. 9, rumors are swirling that it could be Browns at Jets. This is the 50th season of “Monday Night Football,” and the first “MNF” game was Jets at Browns in 1970. So this would bring things full circle.
• Plus, former Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham has already mentioned on social media that his Browns will open the season at the Jets — Beckham’s highly anticipated return to MetLife Stadium — though he didn’t specify that it will be the opening Monday night game.
