Well his one other drawback is that he has a tendency to bite on fakes and playaction. Need to clean that up as well. we tried White at LB, a position he's never played a down in college. so far it is nothing to write home about, nor is it etched in stone. both Adderley and James are upper level free safety imo, so who's playing strong?
That's because he got injured after a month. He was playing the Will position so he may back up Davis this season or be in special packages. White may also supplant Adrian Phillips at the hybrid safety linebacker position that Gus created.
Adderlery is going to play the singe high FS position, which will allow DJ to be used wherever Gus wants him to play. If it was a matter of just a typical SS or FS position on this team, then we would have kept Addae at SS and had DJ play FS. But Gus probably realized that DJ's versatility allowed him to be more of a weapon that could be deployed at different positions (he was pass rushing as a DE at one point last year for example).

Yep Kyzir White really sucked. All he did was crack the starting line up a couple of games into his career. He had an int in his second game as a pro. He notched 7 tackles in his third game before landing on IR. What a bum. Not to mention that Kyzir and Nasir were drafted to play completely different position. James played SS all of last season and Adderly was drafted to play FS. Other than all of that, really solid post.

Gus is gonna ride this defense into another HC gig. The Bolts are going to ride this defence to a Super Bowl appearance....... Well said. NE crushed our D brutally in the playoffs. We should be able to make a game of it when we see them again.
DT - FS - LB.

To be fair, that defence was pretty decimated by injuries......if they had all been healthy, it would not have been anywhere near as easy as it was. Health and Luck......got to have both to win a Championship.

Hopefully we have Perryman healthy during the playoffs (and NE re-match). Stopping Brady will be a tough assignment for rookie FS and LB. Our best hope would be if Tillery turns out to be as good as most think he will be. Pressure up the middle will be our best bet.

But other than that i agree with everything you said. The fact that someone thinks Kyzir White and Adderely would remotely play the same position is beyond me. www.google.com/amp/s/amp.reddit.com/r/Chargers/comments/a4pvf2/derwin_james_snap_count_through_week_13/^ James snap counts through week 13. I couldn’t find the full season break down, i remember seeing it somewhere but didn’t wanna spend more than a few mins looking lol.

You have to let talent like Polamalu, I'm sorry I meant Derwin James, roam around, sniff out plays, and be the playmaker that he was born to be. That means your free safety has to be solid in his assignments. Straight up. I'm excited because it looks like Adderley fits the bill. Double excited because he says he is !!!!
