Clearly in Ice Hockey number 51 carries a much more powerful punch...... Mr. Butkus would like to have a word with you: Actually, Butkus was probably tough enough to play puck......had that it isn't ever broken enough to make me leave the game mindset......

Paying the price for it over the past 40 years, but I guarantee he wouldn’t change a thing if he could go back in time.

I am starting to get some aches and pains from playing days......but you are correct, a player would never change it so he didn't play.

Was it the fact that he wore #51 that made him so mean...? Or was it the last name Butt Kiss...?

I know more than just a few women that can play very high level Ice Hockey......too bad they will be watching this next year or so.

Yeah, I'm derailing the thread ...
Having said that, this "A Football Life" episode featuring two HOFers drafted with back-to-back picks in the 1965 draft is worth the derailment IMHO:

Nominated for dumbest post of the year. Sometimes it’s best to just take your medicine and move on. Nominated perhaps, but lost out to this post of yours...... Dick Butkus was probably tough enough to play hockey? Sure compared to Wayne Gretzky, he looks like a ballerina. If I had one word to describe Mario Lemieux and Jaromir Jagr it would be tough. Clearly, Butkus is nowhere near these all time greats when it comes to toughness. Dan Fouts was another NFL tough guy. Probably more of an CHL tough guy than an NHL tough guy though.

So this is a Hockey players are tougher than Football players argument?
I'm not sure anyone could make a strong argument either way. Player by player maybe. But different sports with different tough requirements IMO.
