Nominated perhaps, but lost out to this post of yours...... Dick Butkus was probably tough enough to play hockey? Sure compared to Wayne Gretzky, he looks like a ballerina. If I had one word to describe Mario Lemieux and Jaromir Jagr it would be tough. Clearly, Butkus is nowhere near these all time greats when it comes to toughness. Dan Fouts was another NFL tough guy. Probably more of an CHL tough guy than an NHL tough guy though. We talking about The Great One??? |
