Tevi had one bad play. Cameron Jordan has been known to make a play every once in a while. Pipkins was very inconsistent: looked good on one play driving the DE wide, looked bad on the next. Consistency is a required component of an NFL offensive lineman, so the OT who was drafted knowing he needs to develop needs development. Not exactly earth-shattering news, but who knows if he'll ever develop into a starting OT in the league? He may very well not. It's worse than earth shattering news !!! It's Rivers shattering news !!!!!

I forgot to mention: "Small School Sammy" Trent Scott looked very solid. You know, the guy who is holding down the fort until Okung's return.

They have him focusing on left tackle for obvious reasons, but Scott had been getting reps at right tackle earlier in camp, so I reckon that the answer to your question is “Yes”.

Scott improving can really really help the tackle depth. Okung, then either Scott or Tevi. You let one of them swing, and the entire time you are developing Pipkins. Its how you work a depth group.

That was fun. Stick did well to start. Tyrod was terrible. However, from that fun, the Saints look to be in worse condition than the bolts would if Brees or PR were to go down.

Pipkins is busting. He'll be PS. maybe. I think he has a chance because we spent a 3rd round pick on him. You don't want that poached off the practice squad in his 3rd month in the league. Everyone in the draft knew he was raw and needed development. There is a small chance that a small school raw guy is just going to start out the gate.
I am not really well versed in PS stuff, but I would believe they will try to protect their investment with Pipkins.

I really think that depends on how well he does and how high on others radars he actually was/will be by TC week 4. Canada doesn't count. I get the thinking that 3rd rounders are valued, but that doesn't mean he actually belonged there. Obviously, I like to see him excel. I like to see MG back in camp too. The bolts have a good shot at the trophy this year. I'll take any advantage.
