If Inman was that good, why was he let go? askingforafreind I think his advantage is his familiarity with the team and with Rivers particularly. He may not be that good- maybe he's just average. But when that's an improvement over half the WRs in camp it is pretty telling.

Hot take- Inman will out-produce Williams. A couple of thoughts to ponder while Freak continues to pleasure himself. T Williams is the #2 WR on a team where #1 is going Chernobyl. Inman is #4 behind two studs and one of the fastest WR's in the NFL. The Chargers have a top 5 TE returning from injury. The Raiders have a tomato can at TE. Barring injuries, if T Williams cannot out produce Dontrelle Inman, he will go down as one of the worst FA's signing in a long time.

Imagine if TW gets all those targets, and Inman gets so few, yet they are even moderately close in statistics. Won't happen, as TW isn't a bad WR, he just isn't worth what they are paying him.
